With roots in electro and nuskool breaks, and 15 years of showcasing deep, tech, and funky house, DJ Tres programs his sets with a rare depth and nuance. Without feeling the need to align with any single genre, Kev's lyrics feature double entendres, visuals, and stories. The unique aspect of Kev's music is his whistle that he infuses into the beats, hook, and chorus which add energy or create a haunting aura. He has begun branching into RnB, Dance, and Pop music while also taking risks with his voice and leveraging his background as an actor.
 
His background goes back to roots in Bangalore, India where he was born. After moving to the United States at age 5 Kev was blessed with opportunities to learn and create music from an elementary age. He was in the choir from age 6 through 12, then began to pursue the violin. He learned to collaborate was part of a creative music space. At a young age he began music writing and live performances at least twice a year. Upon arrival in LA in 2017, his creativity and passion for music was once again revved up.
