Settle Down has always just wanted to be at the rave. As the distant sounds of Fantazia 92 rung its way into the impressionable 10 year old’s bedroom window, the journey begun. Then Dreamscape and Slipmatt on tape. It was done. 

Music built on the foundations of endlessly chasing Jungle and Hardcore, a love fostered since the early 90’s; Settle Down has needed to get this out for a long time. Back to basics, back to the source, back to how it all begun. This is music that makes you feel like being in the rave. Escape, excitement, expression, a journey. This is how it’s written, this is how it sounds.

Hatchet started his journey into DNB in Sheffield UK, now based in the South West of England. DJing in clubs since 2016 and producing since 2017 orientating around heavy and dark sub genres of Drum & Bass and bringing an aggressive and fast mixing style on the decks, known for finding those magical choppy doubles and winning combos that catch you off guard 
Hatchet honed his DJ skills playing out across nearly all the prominent venues in Sheffield as such as venues like Hope Works, The Night Kitchen, The Tuesday Club and many more supporting artists like Andy C, DJ Hazard, Mike Skinner, Macky Gee, Kanine, Turno, Guv, Annix, Voltage and beyond!

Since moving back to the South West in 2020 Hatchet has worked with brands like Dazed, Wide Eyes, Neksus Sound, Triad Collective, Ride The Vibe, Major Bass and more! At venues like Motion, Lakota, Basement 45, Dare to Club and NASS Festival 2023!
