At Burning Man 2024, the air pulses with the infectious rhythms of Afro House, as Vann Essa's set takes over one of the Playa’s most vibrant gatherings after the Man Burn. A deep, rich bass reverberates from the sound system, pulling dancers from every corner of the desert. The crowd moves as one, enveloped in a sea of euphoria, their bodies responding to the syncopated rhythms that seem to be alive, breathing with the energy of the desert.

As the set intensifies, the sounds are a fusion of lush, melodic textures and driving percussion, creating an infectious groove that carries the spirit of Africa into the heart of the Playa. The beats bounce through the dusk, cascading through the air, and the crowd dances as if the very essence of the music is lifting them up. The night sky above is a perfect canvas for the neon art installations surrounding the dance floor, as flames from nearby fire art crackle and illuminate the scene, casting flickers of light on faces filled with bliss.

This set at Burning Man 2024 is more than just music—it's a communal experience, an invitation to connect with the rhythm of the earth, the people around you, and the deeper spiritual flow of the Playa. The energy is high, the vibe is soulful, and the music is a powerful force that holds the crowd in its grasp, guiding them into a collective, transformative journey that defines the essence of Burning Man

Summer Reflections

As life tells us to occasionally take a break and slow down, here is a 115 BPM start ending at 119 BPM that was inspired in part by more melodic nights out in Ibiza listening to artists like LUM, Jonas Saalbach, Nico Sun, Hraach, Bedouin, in setting such as Woomoon in Cova Santa, Openlab at Heart and Sundays at Beachhouse. Couldn't help myself from pushing different genres of house  sounds into here but it's my nature... Next mix will be at 122 BPM as I have some elegant selections in the Deep-Tech area in the bag also waiting to get out.

Bio:
Hi everyone. I’m Andy Rourke and I play mostly in Ibiza but also around the world. Excited about some cool gigs coming up in Ibiza this season!

I play elegant, up-to-date deep house,  occasionally introduced by nomadic/shamanic (call it what you want) sounds and when the mood requires I step it up with some progressive and tech-house. 

 What differentiates my sound from others is that if you are an electronic music fan, you will find my sets up-to-date, unique and well-chosen for the mood. But even if you are not a mad fan, you will appreciate the melodic sounds that make it fun and easy to dance to, without being commercial. 
I’m all about watching the mood of the dance floor and getting people moving, so, leaving behind ego and rules, my sets can occasionally flow through different house genres, connecting with the crowd whilst maintaining an exclusive feel that breathes class and finesse.  (yes I promise!) ;) 

Some of my favourite latest gigs have been at Ibiza’s latest club Heart for Elements, District 8 in Dublin for Groove Armada, Pacha Ibiza for Jean Claude Ades’ BeCrazy night, and at Eden for Nick Warren’s Soundgarden nights, added to guest appearances on Ibiza Sonica and Ibiza Global Radio. Other gigs include clubs from London to Mexico City to Havanna, Cuba, 

I deliver music that excites the crowd, satisfies the promoters and of course my own soul and passion for music as well - Hope you book me!
