Off the TemaImba mixtape, 'Kishaipoteza is a song that speaks to life in Nairobi in the nineties, personal accounts of Monaja as well as life lessons to young adults.

Diversely influenced, each member of the Cosmic Homies music crew brings to the collaboration a unique sonic flavor, be it Funk, Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz, Tribal and beyond. Featuring TAIO, Karungari, Marushka & Joseph Kiwango, we are Cosmic Homies: O.N.E. We exist to expand the current perception of a musical ‘genre,’ the current perception of 'life on Earth' and of Consciousness itself. 

In homage to the collective The Soulquarians, who coined their genre as “Boho-Rap,” Cosmic Homies experiments with an eclectic mix of timeless melodies, Urban beats and Afro Soul inspiration to produce an original style of ‘Electro-Organic’ music. A full-length album is set to release in Fall 2015. Meanwhile, you can listen to their first single here.

Lighting in a bottle is an instantaneous gratification, this particular beat was made and arranged and completed in exactly 10 minutes. The only thing missing was the right vocalist to carry it through. 
By this point in time there were quite a few vocalists that we had worked with before. Joseph Kiwango being one of them and the top contender for this particular song but, Hiribae felt that it needed a female vocal a really delicate one to match the melody and so he suggested Wams, who at the time I didn't know was a vocalist, even more so, a formally trained one under Sauti Academy. She was really shy as we set up the studio in our friend's living room, she did not feel her voice was good enough. 
That all changed once she opened her mouth and delivered this heart tugging song while Kiwango provided a counterpoint to fully balance the story.
