Down-tempo does not have to equate to diminished energy, in fact it can cause a roaring of the spirit matching anything that pounds away at 140bpm. Suitable surrounds and subtle sounds are as equally uplifting by reaching for rhythms that are in tune with the most peaceful elements of the soul.
Psy-ambient duo Land Switcher are substantial examples of this finest of artistic abilities by taking listeners/participants on a round tour of the expanses of the cosmos of human experience.
As individuals Freddy Chauvin and Antoine Martineau are proven talented musicians with formative Dub Roots but in co-joining in 2010 they have taken on new capabilities as the collaborative components of Land Switcher. For the EP cover I used a picture I took of a glorb “sweating balls” in the redwoods. I feel like this glorb is a good representation of my brain sweating balls that one time I was zapped in the pineal. The “Third Eye Thunder” pts 1 & 2 are inspired by an experience about ten years ago where it felt like lightning struck the center of my brain, right in the pineal. It scared the bejeebus out of me but I got the message. Nature is 👑. (The message wasn’t transcendental btw, more of a personal matter but I guess the experience itself was transcendental in a way).

Hi! My name is Joey Wisgirda. I also go by Big Joe Daddy. I live in the SF Bay Area, and make electronic music. I play trumpet and a special wind controller ( Morrison Digital Trumpet http://www.digitaltrumpet.com.au/ ), live and in the studio,controlling Ableton, Reason, Kyma, Alchemy, and a host of other hardware and software instruments, especially physical modeling ones. It lets me, among other things, produce very realistic acoustic instrument sounds.I started out as an orchestral trumpet player, them switched to jazz, funk, and Salsa, then studied composition with John Tchicai ( Coltrane, Archie Shepp, etc. ) .... energy music! I've performed with bunches of folks ( Alton Ellis, John Tchicai, Karl Denson, Hamsa Lila, Mutaytor, Joe Craven, DJ Dragonfly, and many others .... ), and shared the stage with many more ( John Scofield, Bassnectar, Galactic, Ozomatli, Tipper, Kraddy, Beats Antique, Charlie Hunter, and many others as well ... ) Let me know if you like what I do!
