Released on 17th February, ‘Circuit Breaker’ marks the first single to drop from Madben’s forthcoming album ‘Troisiéme Sens’ on Ellum Audio. 

Lille native Madben is a renowned producer with releases on Astropolis, COD3 QR, Trunkline, and Ellum. The latter plays host to his latest work as he returns to Maceo Plex’s celebrated label with a unique twelve-track album this April. 

The 17th of February will see the introduction of the first single ‘Circuit Breaker’. Packed with chugging moody acid techno from the outset - its minimalist approach leaves the floor open to a head-turning display of modulating analogue musicality and ominous resonance, carving out a gritty late-night cut that stands out from the crowd. “I made this track in a very short time, which was unexpected. It's a favourite of mine; I don't think I will ever get bored of playing it,” adds Madben. 

The single comes with a heady remix from New York producer Avision, a regular on Ellum. Here he works some pace into the original with a bouncy bassline and a killer breakdown, turning this into a peak-time dancefloor cut. 

‘Circuit Breaker’ is a superb taster for the long player ahead and another electronic gem from the on-point Madben.

Damian Lazarus celebrates 20 Years of his world-renowned Crosstown Rebels imprint with a special album  project of unreleased cuts and fresh remixes, featuring material from Black Coffee, Maceo Plex, Art Department,  Dennis Cruz and many more. 

Ringing in a major milestone in style, 2023 will see Lazarus and Crosstown mark  the 20th Anniversary of the label with a series of celebratory projects unveiled in the lead-up to summer, with ‘CR20 The Album’ set for  release on 12th May 2023.  

“20 years ago, I dreamed a dream of creating a family of like-minded, crazy individuals from all corners of the planet - releasing  music to the world and making people dance. That dream was Crosstown Rebels, and this year we are 20. Over these years, I have  forged beautiful friendships, discovered very talented artists and tried my best to help, advise and support some of the most  colourful characters in dance music. Crosstown Rebels is more than a record label, it is family. 

So 2023 will mark the label’s 20th Anniversary. This is an opportunity for the Crosstown Rebels family, a global community of  artists, DJs and creatives, and the label’s myriad of followers to celebrate this momentous milestone. There will be parties and  events around the world. A killer compilation of exclusives and special remixes, a beautiful coffee table book, a short film, and a  special launch event are planned to bring together the sights and sounds of the label’s unique and influential history. Opening the package, Lazarus’ own 2020 collaboration ‘Into The Sun’ with regular Crosstown vocalist Jem Cooke is given a cosmic rework  by Johannesburg’s Major League DJz, while Jamie Jones’ slick ‘Paradise 2011’ is stripped back and given a new lease of life by the  hypnotic and heady sounds of Art Department. Opening the B-Side, Dennis Cruz brings his percussive Latin-infused signature sound  palette to Chilean musician and producer Pier Bucci’s ‘Hay Consuelo’, before Audiojack’s ‘Feel Good’, another standout collaboration  alongside Cooke, is taken into synth-led territories as Michael Mayer reaches for an evolving bed of captivating tones. 

The second half of the project brings more excellently remixed material, both new and old, with GRAMMY-winning DJ/producer Black Coffee  turning his hand to the label’s first release of 2023 in Made By Pete and Zoe Kypri’s emotive ‘Horizon Red’, unveiling reworked melodies and  sparkling keys as he delivers an interpretation of a track which has featured as a staple in his sets. Next, the project welcomes Adam Ten &  Yamagucci’s playful yet off-kilter and wonky ‘The K Dance’ which unveils itself as a production perfect for those late night hours and early  afters, before Ellum boss Maceo Plex’s ‘Together (2011 Mix)’ brings another lost production to the mix with a driving and zipping ride through  sugary synths and soaring leads. To close, Tibi Dabo turns his attention to Guti & Dubshape’s absorbing ‘Every Cow Has A Bird’, delivering a  nimble minimal-led trip through lush pads and crisp percussion to round things out in style.

One of techno’s most exciting contemporary acts, Joyhauser, unveil their highly-anticipated debut album In Memoro. Chartered via their staple home Terminal M, the twelve-track LP was teased in recent months with the release of its lead singles Wasted, Liberty and Bassdrone. The full-length studio album is now available to stream across all digital platforms, with its subsequent vinyl release set for {{DATE}}.

Encroaching on the pinnacle of success, the release of In Memoro marks a seminal point in the duo’s career. Having delivered a consistent stream of hit records for the underground community, the pair’s inaugural album showcases their production efforts on the global stage, expanding on their flourishing discography in conceptual style. Representing some of their most daring and progressive opuses to date, In Memoro’s collection of tracks give us a more realised impression of the duo’s unrelenting creativity and ability to not only create peak-time worthy records, but to produce with ‘the journey’ in mind. Clocking countless studio hours over the past three years, Joyhauser’s debut 12” is a record that has been eagerly awaited by the modern audience for some time, and it doesn’t fail to deliver.

The previously released Wasted, Liberty and Bassdrone welcomed huge support across the club and festival circuits, entering the touring playlists of almost every major DJ in the scape. Fuelled by unrelenting drum patterns, hearty kicks and rapturous melodies, the cuts proved to be the anthemic gems of 2022/2023 and resumed their top charting placements respectively.

To the excitement of long-standing fans, In Memoro features a whole host of domineering techno hits that champion the stylistic leanings we’ve come to know and love from the pair. LXR02 is one of these offerings. Upping the tempo, Joyhauser shine a spotlight on their signature sound, delivering high-impact cosmic synth work and a meaty kick drum; attributes that have labelled them masters of their craft. The feisty Hemera sets an authoritative tone from the off, presenting a powerful synth lead and rave stabs that celebrate the sweet spot between techno’s foundational records and its modern sensibilities. These same dynamic characteristics can be found within Roam Zwei, Pulsar, Lightbringers and A Beautiful End Of The World, making them the heroes of festival season and serving as essential additions to the duo’s impeccable back catalogue.  

Woven between the album’s peak-time worthy hits are a series of ambient and crossbreed offerings that present an entirely new perspective to Joyhauser’s sound palate. The opening cut Leben welcomes the album in cinematic style, providing listeners with a deeply emotive introduction to this compelling body of work. Hints of vocal chops and an impressive synth riff enter the space, bending between old school rave and acid influences before erupting into a climactic breakbeat moment. Expanding on this alternative musical direction and showing their immense versatility in the studio, the duo treat us to another breakbeat number in Anamorphic. Cross-pollinating these percussive influences with techno-leaning synth work, world-music vocal injections and dreamy soundscapes, Joyhauser deliver a refined hybrid production that’s littered with grand apex moments. The stunning Astral Projection, gives us a moment of reflection between the bellowing techno cuts. As its name suggests, the pair provide us with serene soundscapes and high twinkling synths, introducing a warmly familiar breakbeat foundation that will leave audiences wanting more from this sound profile.

It’s been a while since we released a V/A on Noir Music and I only ever compile them whenever I feel I have 5-6 tracks that stand out.

Dark Stars Volume 4 has been 6 months in the making and yes..... I know I am picky with the music I sign. I hear that on an almost daily basis.
But even though I could pick music from many different artists it still took me months of compiling, testing the music in clubs and at festivals and then putting together the tracks I felt stood out and complimented each other.

The great thing about V/A’s is that you get the chance to put together a release from artists with completely different sounds and ideas.
Although the sound of Dark Stars Volume 4 is quite minimal sounding overall, it still reflects musicality and great in-depth productions by skillful and experienced artists.
Another great thing about Volume 4 is that these are all artists who make their debut on Noir Music.

I truly love playing every single track from this release and I enjoy watching the crowds reactions around the globe.
I feel no need to get deeper into detail about the specific tracks, as the music will speak for itself.

We are turning the page of our next edition of 'Terra Incognita', the third edition full of different and diverse paths it can lead the listeners to. Starting we reveal Habischman - the experienced Iranian producer, releasing his music via top notch labels as Noir Music, Dubfire's SCI+TEC and Get Physical. 'Aperture' comes as a great opener, conjuncted as a delicate blend of vintage dub-chords, elegant vocals and dramatic, hypnotic synths. Italian producer Stephan Jolk, who is putting out his music lately with Hommage and Beatfreak Recordings, can definitely make the synthesizers breathe. His 'Overdub' is a perfect combination of the minimalistic approach to the world of melodies: the pulsing melodic themes are wisely placed into sharply produced strained beat, which are coming together as a great tune as a result. US based artist Enamour has shown himself as a very promising artist, working with the labels as Yoshitoshi and Anjunadeep, so the stated words of Enamour to be a 'a curator of dark, infectious grooves and wistful atmospheres' is perfectly describing this talented producer at his best. 'Pet Paradox' is a firm thing, lying somewhere between genres and far ahead trends. Argentinian Tomy Wahl delivers his stomper 'Matka' next on the line: a powerful bass shaped track with a dramatic piano breakdown and glitchy proper drums. We close a pack with 'Hong Kong Harbour' track from Netherlands based producer Tom Zeta (Diynamic, Einmusika, KATERMUKKE). This work, mainly exposing with the main detuned synth sound, is finishing the exploration of another Terra Incognita, which became known to you now. Hailing from Freiburg in the Black Forest, Chris Veron is one of the most up-and-coming techno artist from southern Germany with releases on various top labels such as Codex, SayWhat?, Set About, Prospect, Unrilis, Phobiq, Orange and many more. His most successful track "Drift Line" on Codex Recordings directly stormed the Beatport Techno Charts in 2021 and gave him his first number 1 hit. So you should definitely keep an eye on him and not miss him in the near future. With his unique techno style, melodic driving grooves and synths, combined with dark hard elements, he brings every dance floor to a boil. According to Beatstats, he was one of the top 25 best-selling techno producers on Beatport in the last 12 months, as almost all of his tracks have reached the top 20 of the techno charts since 2020.  It's no surprise that his tracks are regularly supported by the likes of Adam Beyer, Ramon Tapia, Umek, Spartaque and even Alan Fitzpatrick. Because of his infectious energy behind the decks and his constantly strong connection with his audience, he has already successfully performed in some of Germany's best clubs (Sisyphos, Robert Johnson, Artheater and many more) and at numerous events and selected venues in Europe. The next big step is his own label including a new radio show which will be launched at the end of 2022 and another new secret project, which we can be very excited about.
In October 2018, he launched his own podcast show "Black Techno Friday", where he presents guest mixes from established techno DJs from all over the world every month.
It's no coincidence that he is a resident of southern Germany's best open air festival "SEA YOU - Beach Republic" and has also been a resident of Freiburg's most popular techno club Drifter's since 2006.
