Loco & Jam have quickly climbed the ranks of the global techno scene, proving with release after release that they’re hard-hitting and twisted production style is a force to be reckoned with.  Frankyeffe’s productions are razor sharp and filled with creative motifs that make him a standout of Italian techno.  So what happens when they get in the studio together?  The aptly named Splitting Minds EP.

Both tracks thump with the relentless rhythms these guys have been known for creating, but they employ a fair amount of distinctly musical material, maybe more than you’d expect.  Gigantic synth swells and melodic, arpy builds interspersed between battering breakdowns put this release squarely between techno and progressive, creating an intense synthesis.  Don’t call it uplifting, Splitting Minds is dark and twisted to be sure, but one will find beauty in the madness.

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell.

The new release on Intec is from Diego Infanzon whos a South American artist based in Uruguay where he also DJs at the La Terraza parties playing alongside the likes of Nic Fanciulli, Joseph Capriati, Matthias Tanzmann, Coyu, Technasia, Jay Lumen and John Digweed for example.

Diego Infanzon has risen through the ranks of the South American electronic music scene and is hotly tipped as one of the regions most exciting talents, which is not only due to his skills behind the decks but also his growing back catalogue of produced music.

Along with this his Intec debut he also boasts EPs on Christian Smith's Tronic, Uto Karems Agile Recordings, 2000 and Ones Bitten, as well as Chus & Ceballos' Stereo Productions.

With a sound that also incorporates elements of house, this release showcases the techno orientated side of Diego Infanzons eclectic music taste.

Locomotora opens the EP with acid flutters and stabbing synths layered with crisp percussion and subtle bursts of euphoria. Deep and shimmering, this techno cut has melodic elements fused with a rolling groove. Whether this is a harder track for melodic DJs, or a building track in a harder set, this multipurpose track is most definitely an essential addition.

Take This One is second of the two tracks and it lifts things up a gear with tough percussion and an arpeggiated lead synth. The trippy modulation on the lead synth builds to an intense drop and the introduction of a looped vocal is both explosive and unexpected. If you are looking for a secret weapon to lift the mood or surprise a dance floor, then this is the track for you.

The opening track 'Definition of Love' is a crazy and organic burner that will leave the club completely devastated. It is a non-stop track where the sinister items and the hypnotic mood are presented in a perfect balance. Teenage Mutants takes the track to their perspective and offer another win that proves the talent of this German duo.'Uma I' is also a huge bomb for the dancefloor with the surprising synth after the breakdown. Hailing from Freiburg in the Black Forest, Chris Veron is one of the most up-and-coming techno artist from southern Germany with releases on various top labels such as Codex, SayWhat?, Set About, Prospect, Unrilis, Phobiq, Orange and many more. His most successful track "Drift Line" on Codex Recordings directly stormed the Beatport Techno Charts in 2021 and gave him his first number 1 hit. So you should definitely keep an eye on him and not miss him in the near future. With his unique techno style, melodic driving grooves and synths, combined with dark hard elements, he brings every dance floor to a boil. According to Beatstats, he was one of the top 25 best-selling techno producers on Beatport in the last 12 months, as almost all of his tracks have reached the top 20 of the techno charts since 2020.  It's no surprise that his tracks are regularly supported by the likes of Adam Beyer, Ramon Tapia, Umek, Spartaque and even Alan Fitzpatrick.
