"I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness" (Allen Ginsberg, Howl), a sampled quote that lends as inspiration for Carbon’s newest EP “Madness”, and his strong return to Shadow Wulf Records. 

The EP features two exceptional techno tracks that drive the listener willingly into insanity with gripping arp melodies and dark driving bass, and gives a welcome peek into the master creative mind of Carbon (aka Riewert Peterson) – whose music has been featured on heavyweight labels like Senso Sounds, Alula Tunes, Jannowitz, MoonBootique, Phobos, Soupherb and many more.  

With “Madness” featuring vocal segments of  the poem ‘Howl’, the vocals are spoken by an ethereal female voice musing on the nature of insanity, and “Ridiculous” enhancing the subject matter further with unencumbered cackling laughter – both tracks lend to an inspired concept paired with relentless dark groove and techno energy. 

To top it off, The EP features the dark techno lord himself, Maksim Dark, marking this his second release on Shadow Wulf.  He provides a riveting remix of the title track in his signature minimal style and artfully crafted to enhance the hysteria to dizzying heights. 

It’s not a stretch to say that if this is Carbon's world of Madness, we'd gladly stay here forever and welcome insanity.

DJ Jock is back again on Unrilis for his second solo EP on the imprint called ‘Urania’ EP.

At the age of 17, DJ Jock from Croatia held down a residency at Pineta Beach Bar. Started warming up for the biggest DJs, he perfected his craft, and got first-hand experience of what made tracks work on the dance floor.

Not only his skills as a DJ which managed to get the attention but also his production skills with a fine-tuned ear for picking out what makes the perfect techno track, his own productions are in hot demand as you can’t attend a party without hearing a single DJ Jock track, he has a very rich catalog that succeeded to build over 12 years in the techno scene, many tracks on the likes of Respekt Recordings, Suara, Intec, 1605 and Phobiq. Always gets support from Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joseph Capriati, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and many others.

DJ Jock: “As always, it was a process of me going to studio and experiment with my gear until I have something. I made Urania like year ago, and the name came when I was watching documentary about Space, where they mention large asteroid ‘Urania’, named by the Greek muse of astronomy. Lonely Satellite was made one morning when I was playing with my Virus Synth, I was just recording sounds, didn't have an idea where to go with them. Then I found that vocal sample and added the drums and bassline. I was playing a lot these tracks last summer and I was really happy with reaction from crowd”.

Hailing from Freiburg in the Black Forest, Chris Veron is one of the most up-and-coming techno artist from southern Germany with releases on various top labels such as Codex, SayWhat?, Set About, Prospect, Unrilis, Phobiq, Orange and many more. His most successful track "Drift Line" on Codex Recordings directly stormed the Beatport Techno Charts in 2021 and gave him his first number 1 hit. So you should definitely keep an eye on him and not miss him in the near future. With his unique techno style, melodic driving grooves and synths, combined with dark hard elements, he brings every dance floor to a boil. According to Beatstats, he was one of the top 25 best-selling techno producers on Beatport in the last 12 months, as almost all of his tracks have reached the top 20 of the techno charts since 2020.  It's no surprise that his tracks are regularly supported by the likes of Adam Beyer, Ramon Tapia, Umek, Spartaque and even Alan Fitzpatrick. Because of his infectious energy behind the decks and his constantly strong connection with his audience, he has already successfully performed in some of Germany's best clubs (Sisyphos, Robert Johnson, Artheater and many more) and at numerous events and selected venues in Europe.
