Virgin Helena is not your ordinary DJ.
Either behind the turntables, or just attending the party, she is always the center of attention.
She started performing as a DJ in 1993., being the first female DJ in Croatia, playing at all major clubs and events, and holding a three year residency at the legendary "Quorum Colours" in Opatija - Croatia.

In 1997. she moved to Vienna and thanks to her unique style – perfect mixing technique and musical taste, established herself rapidly in the international underground party scene playing alongside almost everybody of the most wanted in the scene.

Helena loves working with harmonic structures... Using pieces of music to tell a story, generating and reflecting ever changing moods.
Her sets are hypnotic and powerful, while her music taste has always been versatile, from deep&sexy jazzy house to razor sharp techno beats and break beat. She can do it all!

She was also part of the E-JAM project, performing together with some of the finest jazz musicians on many jazz events, like the Jazz Festival in Wiesen, and Ars Electronica in Linz, where she performed with musicians like Mark Whitecage (sax, klarinette,electronics), Armin Pokorn (guitar), Joe Gallivan (drums), Ramesh Shotham (percussions), George Butrumlis (accordion), Elton Dean (sax), and many more.

Other projects like collaborations with VJs, or being activly involved with fashion shows (as well as a Dj as a model) were part of her daily routine.

She had collaborations with Puma, Diesel, Siemens promotional events in Vienna (where she performed alongside Kosheen and Raimond), and was also the face and sound of Pink Pommery in Austria.
Helena also performed on many events and exhibitions in Austria, like AirWorks – art for a day in Linz, or Scalaria – „The event resort“ (St.Wolfgang) with Drumatical Theatre and great visuals by Benno Klandt and HONDA Event in Salzburg Amadeus Terminal where she performed after Kim Wilde, to name a few.

Currently she is collaborating with Drumatical Theatre – International Percussion Performance and with the Club Wildstyle & The Modern Primitives @ 2013. tour.

Biography

COLOUR deejay' s interest in music dates back to 1986. Listening to old school hip hop, funk and disco music, and house-electronic dance rhythms, which were underground at that time, he bought records and gramophones. The years 1988-90 marked his debut performances and underground parties in Rijeka (Croatia). As he started to play acid house in 1993, his experimental sound gained recognition and hurled him to the top of Croatian DJ-ing scene. His popularity as a party DJ grew rapidly, and the reputation ensured him residence in Quorum Colours, the first house club in Rijeka-Opatija. In 1994 he set up «House Groove», one of the first radio shows to explore electronic music. It was broadcasted in Radio Istria. Soon after, from 1994 to 1997, he organized a series of parties throughout Istria, under the name «Istria Terra Magica». By 1995 he is the resident DJ of the first techno club in Opatija, «XTC». In the year 2004, he tried to do the impossible - gather a team and set up a first TV show on electronic music. This dream soon came true, as he established Retro-Elektro TV show, which was aired in local Rijeka television, and promoted DJ-ing. In 2006 he performed on tour and in a new TV show “Disco Inferno”, which promoted clubs. Over the course of 25 years, COLOUR performed live and played all sorts of electronic music, for wide audience at parties and clubs, mixing mostly the long, all-night sets of music with positive vibrations. He performed abroad, in Slovenia, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, and with some of the world famous DJs. He was the resident deejay in almost all major disco-clubs in Croatia. For the past 10 years djcolour33 is a freelancer, live for the music. he enjoys in his home studio, mixing tech-house sets, and live performing rearly, but only in quality clubs.
