AUTOMAT - DROID - 1978
Automat foi um álbum de música eletrônica instrumental lançado em 1978, de autoria e produção dos músicos italianos Romano Musumarra e Claudio Gizzi. Foi gravado entre novembro e dezembro de 1977 e lançado em 1978 na Itália, sob o selo da Harvest Records. 
Os temas foram executados com o MCS70, um sintetizador analógico monofônico desenhado, construído e programado pelo engenheiro italiano Mario Maggi. Luciano Toroni foi o engenheiro de som
Algumas curiosidades desse disco: o famoso músico francês Jean Michel Jarre foi a primeira pessoa a obter uma cópia de Automat. Jarre lançou seu primeiro álbum intitulado Oxygene durante a produção deAutomat. Mario Maggi fez uma visita a Jean Michel Jarre em seu estúdio em Paris, intermediada por Claude Cavagnolo. Na ocasião Jarre entregou uma cópia autografada de Oxygene a Maggi e que em seguida lhe deu uma cópia de Automat. Outra curiosidade é que na contra-capa do disco além dos créditos da produção, havia também um pequeno texto enigmático que foi inserido pela gravadora, sendo que os artistas não tinham nenhuma relação com o mesmo:
"In the beginning there was the "MACHINE". The survival and the organization of the planet depend upon the "MACHINE. The future and the past depend upon the "MACHINE"... the past? But who wanted the "MACHINE".

O tema "Droid" foi amplamente utilizado pela TV Globo em aberturas de jornais e vinhetas nos anos 80. O disco foi lançado no Brasil em compacto duplo, pela gravadora Harvest, contendo as seguintes músicas:
1. Automat (The rise, TheAdvance, The Genus); 
2. Droid; 
3. Ultraviolet; 
4. Mecadence.
