Multi-disciplinary artist Doprah Spinfree has showcased his creative work everywhere from record sleeve designs to dancefloors in Vancouver, New York, Philadelphia, Australia and Seattle right through to large-scale art installations. On the decks, Doprah's gritty curation melds the sleek lines of funk and disco with the pure filth of midtempo bass and disco house, then throws down some wonky basslines at all the right moments, for good measure. A Vancouver local, Doprah Spinfree’s 10 year career has seen him play nightclubs and festivals across the world, including Rifflandia, Electric Love, Motion Notion and Tall Tree; but summer 2023 will see him finally cross Shambhala’s Fractal Forest off the bucket list.

Detta, real name Adam Cuglietta, has been DJing for over 20 years and has rocked many parties, clubs and festivals in the UK, Latvia, Italy, Switzerland and more. He has grown from rave to drum and bass, from hip hop to breakbeat, to finally ending up in his rightful place in the mid tempo, bass heavy, funky breaks scene called Ghetto Funk.

His rise to fame came after winning the 2012 Ghetto Funk DJ Competition, beating 75 other entrants to win a DJ set at Sunrise Festivals UK alongside other artists such as Stickybuds, Goodgroove & B-Side. This paved the way for him to become a regular part of the Ghetto Funk Nightclub & Ghetto Funk Allstars crew which had him performing at many gigs & festivals with more major players like A-Skillz, Featurecast, JFB, Slynk, Basement Freaks & The Funk Hunters.

Before this jump into the Ghetto Funk scene, Detta hosted many club nights in London, won a DJ competition at Snowbombing Festival and played for Finger Lickin Records at a TV advertising promotional event, to name some achievements. However since getting into producing in the last couple of years, his talents have shown he is more than just a great DJ.

In 2012 his 'reboot' of Knife Party's Bonfire was played on Mistajam's show on Radio 1Xtra. His C2C - Down The Road remix was used by JFB as a regular track in his 2013 sets. His collaboration with Sammy Senior for a remix competition of Krafty Kuts's - Work That Body, saw them come 6th out of 120 entries. His collaboration track 'Bag It Up' that was featured on B-Side's Ghetto Funk EP, has been voted number #1 in Juno Records 'Best Breakbeat Recommendation of 2013'.

As a regulator of the groove, Grid Division has created a well developed sound that never ceases to evolve and engulf new styles and influences. From hip-hop to glitch-hop, funk to bass, Grid Division’s sound has something every party rockin’ patron can enjoy. Over the last two years, Grid Division has been beaming beats onto dance floors from Canada to the East Coast.

In 2017, Grid Division released “The Low Down” on Westwood Recordings, a Canadian based label founded by Nick Middleton of The Funk Hunters. Grid’s track “In Da House” was later picked up by YouTube Red as the intro music for their hit show “Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television”. Grid Division’s music has been performed by a number of world renowned artists including Krafty Kuts, iLL.Gates & The Funk Hunters, with cameos on All Good Radio and a number of official Shambhala mixes.
