One of the most rewarding things about what I do, is the instant gratification of seeing the effect something I play can have on a crowd. Sometimes that effect is far deeper and wider than I could expect.

Norma Herrera was at one of my gigs in Laredo, Texas in 2009, and met the man she would one day marry. That night I played my new song Falling Anthem and apparently they did just that. Norma recently contacted me to let me know that since that night Falling Anthem has become their song. She asked me if I had a special version they could dance to at their wedding. Feeling honored and humbled I made this
acoustic version just for them. This is their first dance as husband and wife.

Galen honed the craft of djing by playing vinyl at renegade and warehouse parties and at his own legendary Sunset Sound System park and boat parties where he was able to explore many sides of dance music from deep acid house and techno to disco and reggae. He is known for his technical mastery of creating complex grooves on the fly through his assertive mixing techniques that are inspired by each unique dance floor. His discerning taste for music helps him carve out unique rhythm and bass sounds that are distinctly his own. His refined attention to detailed musical nuances enables him to create long blends just as easily and smoothly as quick transitions, each suited to the time and atmosphere on hand. This precise listening has also translated into his studio productions, with recent songs out now on What To Do & Culprit Records. You can find him touring Europe in the summer as well as various parties around the US, Canada, and Mexico when he is not holding it down in San Francisco.
