Born in 1969, Jemaho started playing music in 1983. Being one of the first who introduced House Music to a larger public in Belgium he had opportunities to play in legendary clubs like The Café D'Anvers or The Catacombes. 

He's now known for his infamous Nova Casa Jazz and the latter One15 Sessions. Exclusive resident for Dogglounge Radio, Jemaho is also the brain behind Jazzy Butterfly Records, a digital label that tends to prove that real Deep and House Music can also survive in this digital world. 

He has also, as a producer, releases on Xoom Recordings, Major League House, Série Limitée, Pocket Money and others!

5 Mag's new mix series RISE returns with this week's set from Dublin-based DJ Glenn Davis @gsoul

Glenn Davis is a DJ and producer praised in these pages and others for his incredibly vibrant deep house tracks on labels including F*CLR, Yore, D1, LDF and A Deeper Groove. We premiered one of his tracks from his Better Daze EP on Yore a few months ago. 

Davis has a track coming soon on a forthcoming Local Talk compilation and a record on a new Berlin label called Ascension on Wax — the latter featuring "a remix from one of my favorite producers Mark Hand." Also in the pipe are remixes for DJ/producer Craig Smith and DJ Gratts.

The second annual Community Manchester party tribute to Phil Asher featuring the DJs wo were his closest friends & fellow music conoisseurs viz The Mighty Zaf who opens up then it's Craig Smith, then Afronaut with Irfan Rainy, Craig Smith & Zaf finish off the last half hour. It was a beautiful super authentic underground music event with the right crowd too. Enjoy.

Our guest this week is on a whipround tour of Japan and has played everywhere from the quirky low key venues in Tokyo right through to the iconic Womb club. 

The Armenian DJ & Producer flexes across multiple styles of deep house from dubby and heavy on the low end to more eclectic lofi grooves. 

Over the past few years she's struck up releases on multiple renowned deep house labels such as Closer To Truth, Lizstomania, Rewind, Blur & House Salad and her solid production has attracted some huge remixers including those of Simplex Motive & Heat Alliance! 

Her latest release is the Midori No Basho EP from our good friends at Closer To Truth.

We published it along with our first feature interview with Phil Asher in September 2008. Here we remember Phil Asher doing what he did best: DJing.

DJ Gee Cee (Gavin Connor) Born January 1979 found love for music and mixing at a very young age, He was influenced Musically by DJ’s Todd Edwards, Kevin Yost, Kerri Chandler, Louie Vega, Frankie Knuckles, and more. DJ Gee Cee was a vinyl specialist and launched himself into a party career four years later. At Age 17 he had his first residency, Since then he has kept the crowds bouncing at a multitude of venues all over the country including London, Oxford, Kent, Swindon, Reading, Bristol and recently also the sunny Portuguese shores of Algarve. He has contributed to events such as various radio stations such as Reaction Radio London, Conscious Radio London, Green Apple Radio Slough.
