DJ Godfather (Brian Jeffries) is one of the founding fathers of the Detroit Ghettotech scene. He started DJing at the age of 15 and within a few months was already playing in clubs and after-hour parties across the Motor City. By 17 he’d started making music and a year later, released his first solo record on Twilight 76 (the label he started with 
DJ Dick and Brian Gillespie). The creation of other labels followed including the influential Databass, which he revived in 2018. With a career spanning near on 3 decades, he’s continued to deliver the goods as well as supporting new Detroit talent, as his Godfather moniker implies. As a DJ, his battle style turntablism has made him a hero in his city (you only have to witness the crowds he pulls at Detroit’s Movement Festival) and the many places around the globe where he’s laid down his fine-tuned skills. Over the years it’s gained him worldwide recognition and various DJing accolades. Even through 2020’s Coronavirus lockdown he’s wowed audiences with his expert live streams.


Despite the many tracks, EPs and mix compilations he’s released over the years, ‘Electro Beats For Freaks’ is DJ Godfather’s second proper artist album, and his biggest undertaking to date. With nearly 2 hours of music, it’s a collection of 44 tracks that range from Ghettotech to Juke and Electro, Techhouse to Bmore. The tracks (only a handful of which have been previously released) transition into one another with a seamless flow, so they can either be heard individually or as a continuous playback.

The album will be followed through 2021 with a series of EP releases featuring longer length versions, acappellas, instrumentals and BPM variations for DJs!

Godfather has had a very successful career over the years. Voted 15th best DJ in America by the readers of DJ Times and Pioneer Pro DJ for 2011 and in 2012 out of the top 100, best DJ in Detroit by Real Detroit magazine 5 years in a row (2008-2013), and is now the Red Bull Thre3stlye champion of Detroit for 2013! With sponsorships from Serato and Native Instruments, Godfather currently released an expansion pack entitled Dirty Knock for the iMaschine and Maschine, the industry standard drum machine by Native Instruments with endorsements from Diplo, Lil Jon, Steve Aoki, Disco Fries, Danny Daze, DJ Fuck and more. He plays it all from open format/mashup parties to  house to the deepest trap, ghetto tech and juke parties incorporating his battle style turntablism in his sets. He has played across the globe numerous times in cities all over Europe, Asia, Australia, United States, Canada, China, Japan and South America and receives worldwide recognition.

DJ Godfather is considered one of the founding fathers of the genre we now know as Ghetto Tech. He started DJing at the age of 15 with the help of, now business partner, DJ Dick. Within a few months of getting his turntables, Godfather was already playing in nightclubs and after hour parties all over Detroit. He started producing at the age of 17 for his first Miami Bass style group Bass Association. With the buzz of a few singles off the Bass Association album on 3 Detroit radio stations, Godfather made his first solo record at the age of 18 on the now Twilight 76 Records entitled "Work Dat". Taking his turntablism skills and mixing Detroit Techno music with Miami Bass music, and new sound was born, Ghetto Tech. With the formation of their new record label Twilight 76 with partners DJ Dick and Brian Gillespie, he took his talent and turned it into an entire business creating 3 other labels known as Databass Records, D.E.T. Only (An exclusive label with only 1000 copies of each release), and Juke Trax (A label dedicated to the Chicago style of Ghetto House and Juke music). With all 4 record labels combined, Godfather and his partners released over 250 vinyl releases and mix CD releases, selling over 800,000 units worldwide. You can hear DJ Godfather tracks on the 2 videos games, NBA 2K6 and NBA 2K7 on 2K Sports. He was also the first DJ to be released on the Serato digital download series, using Scratch Live technology and tracks only available digitally for a mix cd entitled "For The Freaks". With 12" vinyl record sales slowing down over the past years, Godfather and his partners stopped pressing vinyl and embraced the digital download world with their own digital distribution company and 2 online MP3 stores, Secretremixes.com for Mashups and DJ Remixes along with Electrobounce.com for Trap, Ghetto Tech, Electro, Techno and Juke music. They also started Soundbully, A digital distribution company that offers digital distribution to over 187 MP3 stores and ring tone carriers worldwide.

Godfather is also producing under 2 other names. Don Dada which is a duo group with DJ Zebo out of Chicago incorporating trap music with juke, ghetto tech and electro house with 4 turntables in their live sets. Reviews have been fantastic as they already played Movement in Detroit and Spring Awakening in Chicago along with some other big music festivals. The other allis is Detroit Muscle which is strictly house music. Having remixed artists such as Lil Jon, Diplo, Aston Shuffle (Ministry Of Sound), Bad Boy Bill and more!

Recent projects Godfather has been involved in are remixes for Laidback Luke' "Pogo", Dizzee Rascal's "Bassline Junkie" and Baauer's "Harlem Shake which have all made the #1 monthly downloaded track on Serato's Whitelable.net and the 40 Oz Profits, making it in the top 100 on Beatport. Don Dada is also ready to release their Debut single "Rock Ya Whole Block" along with 2 follow up tracks. 


I produce, mix and host a weekly radio program called BEATSCAPE: where creative minds meet up with dancing feet! Every week, I deliver a 3 hours of the hottest new releases. From deep-house to soulful, tech-house to deep-techno, dubstep to 4x4, ambient to IDM, post-dubstep to grime.
Currently broadcasted in France and Switzerland, my purpose is to educate a "mainstream audience" to what I consider to be "quality music", following my only moto: if I like it, I play it!

Matria es una DJ emergente originaria de Nerja (Málaga) y actualmente residente en Granada. Su vínculo con la música comenzó a una edad temprana, pero fue a los 15 años cuando descubrió el Drum & Bass —gracias a la influencia de la comunidad británica en su localidad natal— y se sumergió de lleno en el universo de la música electrónica.

Tras varios años experimentando con el DJing digital, en 2023 decidió dar el salto al vinilo, motivada por la influencia de sus compañeros de piso, quienes contaban con unos clásicos Technics en casa. Este cambio marcó una evolución importante en su enfoque artístico.

A lo largo de su trayectoria ha actuado en salas de renombre del panorama andaluz como Industrial Copera, Sala El Tren (Granada) y Sala X (Sevilla). Sin embargo, se siente especialmente conectada con las fiestas rave autogestionadas, donde encuentra el espacio más auténtico para expresarse.

Matria busca difundir el Breakbeat, un género con profundas raíces en el sur de España, y acercarlo a nuevos públicos. Su estilo, fuertemente influenciado por figuras como The Prodigy, Peter Paul, Afrika Bambaataa y DJ Nitro, basado en una cuidada selección de ritmos rotos, pretende transmitir el mundo interior que, la mayoría de veces, no mostramos a la sociedad.

DJ FxckiT is an Emerging Electronic Music Producer / DJ from the East Side of Detroit, currently residing in St Clair Shores Michigan.

Producing / Spinning a truly Unique, Distinct Musical Sound self-dubbed his “Detroit Dirty Waves”. 

At an early age of 16 DJ FxckiT was taught the art of Programming a Drum Machine by Detroit Ghetto Tech Icon DJ Godfather, Fueling a passion for all types of Music Production. Growing up on Detroit’s Eastside he was blessed to Bear witness to Indie Rap Pioneer ESHAM and work alongside his Record Label Real Life Productions official street team and learn the art of the Independent Hustle.

DJ FxckiT started out as an Underground Rapper in 1995 operating as a Solo Artist first, adding a solid Rhyme Partner in 96, and in 1999, he pushed his limits adding a full Hardcore Band to his Dark Crazy Raps, but when zero local Detroit area live drummers could match with his Masterful Programing  DJ FxckiT broke new Live Performance grounds at the time by backing his Wicked Band with an Alesis SR16 Drum Machine & 2 AKIA Samplers running  Studio Quality Beats at an Earth-Shaking Volume.

 DJ FxckiT officially walked away from an established Indie Rap Career in 2019 out of total creative boredom he put all his energy into becoming the top tier EDM Producer / DJ that the Universe demanded during the Global Pandemic of 2020.
