LTJ Bukem - Love Of Life 'Intelligent Jungle' - Late 1995

A month on from Conrad's passing I was reminiscing to the second Bukem and Conrad Essential mix and thought I'd upload. Equally brilliant and revolutionary as their first Essential mix, this one built on the impeccable selection of 1995 with another slew of dubplates highlighting incredible tunes that would come out of Good Looking and a few other select labels over the coming years. The tunes ranged from intricate ambient workouts like Jonny L Tychonic Cycle to deep amen batterers like Universal's Live Session (which was a little different and better on dubplate). Some took a little longer such as the lost G-Force Proximity tune that didn't surface till only recently. It's no exaggeration to say all the tunes on this mix were peak golden age, particularly Crystl Mindgames and Intense Only You...

Again, Conrad absolutely rules this mix from start to finish with total confidence and deep soulful lyrics - beautiful stuff from the leading master of ceremonies. A perfect mix for a summer's day.

This is logical, this is a progression... The original and still one of the best sets around, LTJ's about to touch down. After much confusion I finally found the original 1996 version of LTJ's seminal Logical Progression 2 CD release. This is the mixed set (CD-B). Intelligent DnB at its finest. I've been looking for this set for a long time but have never been able to find it online, only the 2001 re-released version where the mixed CD was replaced with the 'Ministry of Sound Half A Decade Of Dance' 96 live set and different tracks on the un-mixed CD. I brought a 2nd hand copy from Discogs.com. I will do a mix using the tracks on the unmixed CD (CD-A) when I get some time.

No infringement of copyright is intended, I'm assuming it's ok to make this available to download as it's not possible to buy this new anymore. If there is a problem with copyright let me know and I'll remove it.

I got a little something I'd like to lay on y'all... Another classic LTJ set from the archives. Soulful, intelligent n' chilled DnB that takes me straight back to the days of Speed. Somehow I missed this set back in the day and only heard it for the first time a few days ago. Beautiful selection of intelligent and soulful D&B from back in the day. Always loved Bailey's sets, one of my favorite club DJs to get down to - I remember many an outstanding set down at the End. I was a working DJ/producer 1996-2001 (UK). Lover of electronic music since 1990. I use this site to share some of my mix tapes and the best mixes from other DJs that I've accumulated over the years. This is purely for entertainment, sharing and promoting good music.

I did produce some tracks back in 1998-2000 but only released a couple of EPs with DJ Relay under the names Low Profile & Two-Step2. We are getting back into production again as of 2020 and will be re-releasing some of our old and new tracks going forward, find our tracks on Juno, Beatport, Amazon, etc.
