MONO - Find No Ground

Spare couple of hours free this week meant it was time to go straight on the decks to go through the latest Atmosphericals and record Part 44 of my Intelligent Drum & Bass mixseries.

Mostly upfront tracks included in this set with the occassional classic thrown in as always.   Really enjoyed mixing this and zoning out for a couple of hours  to this beautiful music that was deeply embedded in my soul since I first heard it in the mid 90's and still is today !

Mixed on 2 x Technics 1210 MK7 turntables with Numark M4 Mixer.

This song doesn’t ask for your attention. This is a take on distorted beatwork that I dragged through concrete and left to simmer. I like to lean into the chaos: blown-out drums, warped low-end, and a mix that’s more feeling than finesse. It’s not polished, and that’s the point.

A circle, as a symbol of a closed cycle, has no way out. It holds movement, repetition, and return. The new track by Zaslon originates from this movement — a reflection of the infinite cycle, where each turn takes on a familiar shape yet never repeats.
