Juno Review: The Above Sound team have picked up a real heater here as we take in the sounds of '2Step', a somewhat self-titled track from TwoStep2, delivering everything that could be wanted for a rave-ready UKG original. We are greeted by a minimal introduction, made up of industrial drum brushes and sharpened rhythmic ideas, amplified further by a bulbous collection of rolling 808 pulses below. The choppy vocals and steadily evolving rhythmic ideas put this one into its own bracket for sure and we expect to see the unpredictable nature of this one mashing up dances nationwide.

A funky house track from the Brazilian duo LBF Project (DJ Black Flava & DJ Leitinho) that brings back memories of the early days of the house and garage scene. Available now from Juno Downloads and everywhere else (Beatport, Trax Source, Amazon, Spotify in a few weeks). 

Inspired by Black Flava's daughter Anna Júlya who is a lover of good music and helped behind the scenes with the project. The “sound” refers to the garage/house style from North American that was popular in the 90s and served as an influence for the track.

Juno Review: Next up from the team at Above Sound, another unique creation from TwoStep2, who continue their new school rampage with monstrous consistency. This latest original takes the title 'All I Wanna Say' and immediately leads us down a truly unique road of drum production and unique percussive processing. When these elements are taken, distilled and then combined in perfect balance with bubbling synthesizer maneuvers and crafty sub-sweeps below, we know we are in for a truly unique experience. Although this one sits as a standalone, it packs the punch of a full EP.

We’re loving this one from the Brazilian duo LBF Project, with a sound pallet straight out of the late 90’s underground House and Garage club scene. A sound that reminds us of the UK garage pirate radio scene. Snappy 4x4 beats, bouncy driving basslines, melodic keys and atmospherics, with a nice use of some classic vocal samples.

Deeper with another exclusive mix. Bringing together underground garage from the late 90's with brand new dub cuts from TS2. We had to push back the boundaries of technology to bring you a back2back session that spans time zones, oceans and continents with DJ Relay representing the UK and JoPublic holding it down Stateside.

We put this mix together to promote our new album "The Nine", and our 1st vinyl release since 2000 (forthcoming on Curbside Recordings). Twenty years in the making, some things are worth waiting for.

The mix is dedicated to Tony D, a very close friend in life and music. Taken too young with no time to choose it. Living on with TwoStep2, we won't forget you Tony.

I was a working DJ/producer 1996-2001 (UK). Lover of electronic music since 1990. I use this site to share some of my mix tapes and the best mixes from other DJs that I've accumulated over the years. This is purely for entertainment, sharing and promoting good music.

I did produce some tracks back in 1998-2000 but only released a couple of EPs with DJ Relay under the names Low Profile & Two-Step2. We are getting back into production again as of 2020 and will be re-releasing some of our old and new tracks going forward, find our tracks on Juno, Beatport, Amazon, etc.
