The Amici Code

Kazpa is no stranger to the electronic dance music world. After firmly entrenching himself as a member of the stateside drum & bass movement under the alias DJ KAZPA since 1996 by playing in front of crowds in nearly every major North American city, Puerto Rico, and even Taiwan, this talented DJ/Producer turned his talent to another strain of music originating in the United Kingdom. Originally forged in 2000 as a side project and performing under the alias MICHAEL AMICI & PETRO, Kazpa alongside musical partner Posi-D began to expose the U.S. to the ever-evolving sound of UK Garage. Their six-hour sets at "Sincere" quickly became legendary in the NYC scene, seamlessly blending 4x4, 2-step, speed garage, garage breaks, and grime. After the venue which played host to "Sincere" was forced to close in 2006, Kazpa decided to go on hiatus to focus on other business ventures. Now after years of hibernating it seemed to be the perfect time for Kazpa to reemerge from the shadows and reintroduce himself to the scene he loves and helped build.
