Due to having Covid this week and still isolating today, I regrettably had to pull out of my B2B set tonight with my sista from another mista, the mighty Jah9 :(  
Warming up the Volks dance before the legendary DJ Nookie at the infamous 'Brighton Loves Jungle', Jah9 will be firing all cylinders and smashing out her no nonsense bass heavy Jungle riddims solo tonight, so those that go will be in for a special treat! \o/
I am absolutely gutted to be missing this gig, so I've recorded this mix of new and original 93/94/95 Jungle that I had planned to play in our B2B <3  xx

We have a special mix from Foot Long Records friend in the prolific mixing master of Pearsall (https://soundcloud.com/sonicrampage) .

I first came across Pearsall a few years ago a few days after I had been to a Bangface Weekender and was heading down to Somerset to paint some rooms in a farm down there, and was looking for mixes to play whilst I was working. Pearsall provided me with a shed load of daily mixes to get me through my time there, and it really helped, cheers man !

Pearsall currently resides in Berlin, and is a mixer on both vinyl and digital. His Soundcloud page has 245 tracks on it, mainly mixes of all sorts of genres and all artist mixes and series of mixes. He also has his own blog, which he updates reguarly here: https://sonicrampage.org/blog/ .

He created his own special 4-track EP titled `Squat Rocking EP` last year, which was a joint project with him and A.B. where he marked 25 years in the game through this. It has a plethora of samples influenced by all the music he has loved over the years within it, which gives the EP its own unique sound and character.

I have to say that I do not know of any DJ mixer that has put the sheer volume of specific, well thought out recorded mixes on their Soundcloud page that compares to Pearsall. Hats off you to mate, you have created something special there, bigup !!

1. Tell us how you came up with name, Abstract Drumz.
Originally I called myself DJ Abstract but I found out there was another Drum & Bass artist that used the same name in the late ‘90s. So I added the word “Drumz” from one of my favourite tunes, Doc Scott “Here Come The Drumz”

2. Tell us about upcoming releases and djing gigs.
. I’ve retired from playing DJ gigs (I’m an old git lol) but I’ve got lots of releases planned for next year, I can’t give anything away yet though!

3. In 250 characters or less, tell us a funny joke.
My music “career” 🤣🤣🤣 Adrian is a funny dude, check out his facebook posts, that's why I asked him for a joke.  I will tell you, he's a great producer, his music career is no joke!
