Growing up in London, my introduction to UK Garage came around the age of 15, coinciding with my acquisition of my first set of decks. Those were the days of exploring record shops in pursuit of both the freshest white labels and the more widely embraced mainstream releases that were cherished by everyone.
As I stumbled upon establishments like Hard To Find Records and Reckless Records, both second-hand havens, my quest evolved to uncover tracks that had eluded me, pieces that had slipped under my radar, and records that had been unleashed upon the world years before my initiation into the Garage scene. It was during these moments that my affection for vinyl began to flourish.
As the UK Garage scene gradually faded around the end of my college days and the commencement of a full-time job, my enthusiasm naturally dwindled, prompting me to tuck away my cherished records into storage. The prospect of parting with my collection, as so many around me were doing, never truly appealed to me – I had invested too much time and sentiment in curating a collection that held a personal resonance.
After a period of settling down and relocating, a pivotal moment arrived in 2018 when my wife suggested I fetch my vinyl from their dormant state in storage, even if only for a few months. The notion struck a chord, and I embarked on a Google-fuelled mission to track down vintage UKG tracks that had slipped by me. That's when I stumbled upon Discogs – a treasure trove for music enthusiasts like myself. The exhilarating search through sellers' collections, guided by the insights of YouTube uploaders, reignited the passion within me. Since that day, my decks have established a permanent residence in my home.
 
Amidst the pandemic, I secured a weekly spot on Crate Digs, an established online radio platform. Additionally, I shared intermittent mixes on MixCloud and engaged in live streams via Facebook. Through these endeavours, I've had the pleasure of connecting with remarkable individuals within the scene.
