Collective Wellbeing

This is a set I crafted in September 2021 for a virtual stage at BRCvr called The Oasis of Oontz. BRCvr was the AltSpaceVR world that was created by the BMOrg to provide Burners with a place to gather during the pandemic. This set originally aired on the day of the Burn. 

Collectively, many of the DJs who participated that day decided to participate in a Twitch raid train in December 2021 to re-broadcast their sets outside of BRCvr. This was the opening set for that raid train.

Lamplighter's Lullaby

Amblyss

Suti is a beautiful little festival held in rural Portugal in late summer. I attended their fourth edition in September 2023 and had the pleasure of following an artist I love to pieces - Zen Baboon. My set started at midnight after they'd been playing midtempo wiggly tunes, so I followed suit. As a result, this set is a tad more on the energetic side within the range of music I like to play, and I had a chance to explore some of the slow house tunes I've been collecting and listening to. It was great fun, and the crowd was very responsive.

This is an hourlong exploration into the realms of psychill and various subgenres of chilled drum n bass. It's an excerpt from a recording of a longer live set I played in April 2021 for my former Twitch show, Omakase.

This is also a contribution to Victory Beats, a Ukrainian movement which supports volunteers who help soldiers and victims of the war that is taking place in Ukraine after the invasion of Russia.

Dj Maggie Live at Tropical New Year 2024 -- 6PM-8PM

DJ MAGGIE brings you this "Fizziology" titled DJ set about which she says: "The majority of this mix was recorded live as an opening set for Moontribe's New Year's Day Vibe 2024 in Los Angeles. Since I ended that set with unreleased music, I trimmed the last two tracks and added two tracks to the beginning in the studio. Some new music mixed with some classic favorites!" DJ Maggie carefully curates the best of downtempo electronic into lush, playful and deeply replenishing sets that invite listeners on shimmering audio odysseys. Evolving her own brand of intuitive sound at the legendary Southern California desert gatherings of the groundbreaking Moontribe Collective, Maggie has played for a wide range of events, from festivals like Ozora and Astronox, to intimate yoga retreats and desert campouts. This is a live recording of my opening set to celebrate my good friend Treavor Moontribe's 50th birthday. The evening took place at a Moroccan-themed restaurant in Hollywood, and Treavor played a 4-hour set after mine, so we were able to really dial in the flow. 

I've been collecting some tasty slow house music in the last few years without any real place to play them, and this set gave me a chance to flex that muscle a little, toward the end of the set. I had fun with it.

I was commissioned by yoga instructor Jessica Annand to craft two one-hour mixes for a yoga retreat taking place in July 2015 at Stewart Mineral Springs Retreat Center near Mt. Shasta, California. While I've played live during yoga sets before, this was the first time I'd created any in the studio. This is the first of the two. The word "Yitha" means "One" in the Karuk tribal language, indigenous to the region. There are gentle beats and expansive spaces in this mix, as per her request.

Summertime, 2016. A birthday pool party at a Los Angeles hotel, starting off with a yoga class. The first part of this live recorded set was to accompany the yoga class, rising into grooves to warm up before the birthday boy took to the decks and carried us into the afternoon with dancing.
