Desert Dwellers is the convergence of music producers Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, who honed their individual crafts in the mystical deserts of California and New Mexico, long before electronic music reached mainstream. It's full moon! We are glad to have @Treavor-Moontribe at the controls of our mission 06.

In June of 1993 a small group of friends gathered under a full moon in the Mojave Desert of Southern California. Over 23 years later these gatherings are still going strong and easily the longest running truly underground event of its kind in America, perhaps the world. They call themselves Moontribe and still to this day you will find no promotion for these events. There is no Facebook event for it, there are no flyers on the streets, no posters…no hype! Yet somehow this tribe finds each other under that full moon deep in the desert to dance to hypnotic beats and celebrate life! DJ Treavor Moontribe is one of the founders of these gatherings, one half of the electronica/chill out project @DesertDwellers and a 19 year veteran of Burning Man.

March 2017. Perfect weather set us up for a perfect Full Moon Gathering. The Moontribe community was out in full force, and I had the honor of closing out the music, playing while the sun set and finishing as the moon rose from the horizon. A joyful occasion.

Patrick alias Psycho'pat est avant tout un passionné de musique. Plus jeune, il débute par l'accordéon, puis s'initie rapidement au mix dans un Sound System local. Il fonde l'association FluOrganik Crew début 2019, collectif avec lequel il organise l'installation de chill-out sonorisés et se consacre à la vidéoprojection psychédélique (liquid light show) dans différents types d'évènements : soirée, free, festival (Hadra, Son Libre). Son univers musical a particulièrement été influencé par la Techno/Électro des free-parties, et par la musique Chill-out des événements Trance. 
Ses Djsets sont une invitation au voyage, de la Tech-house puissante aux sonorités exotiques, à la Techno hypnotisante, en passant par le Downtempo psychédélique et envoûtant.. Laissez-vous porter!

DJ Maggie carefully curates the best of downtempo electronic into lush, playful and deeply replenishing sets that invite listeners on shimmering audio odysseys. Whether leading flights to the depth of the heart or the outer dimensions of the cosmos, Maggie pilots music masterfully as a multi-dimensional tool—for joy enhancement, energy boosting, community building, a safe space for retreat, a salve for helping heal pain, or a focus-enhancing medium to optimize creativity or productivity.

Evolving her own brand of intuitive sound at the legendary Southern California desert gatherings of the groundbreaking Moontribe Collective and other conscious parties and festivals, Maggie soon established a reputation for her heart-expanding sonic rides. This eventually propelled her into the path of her current collaborations with esteemed downtempo artist and producer, Bluetech (Evan Bartholomew) and their labels Behind the Sky and  Over the Moon. Her first compilation, a 2xLP entitled ‘Matters of the Heart,’ was released in June 2021 on Behind The Sky, and she began releasing through Over the Moon in October 2021.

People tell me amazing stories about how the music has touched them, and for that I'm eternally grateful. It's the main reason I keep doing this - human connection through the universal language of music.

Some are super-mellow and ready to accompany your bedtime/meditation/ snuggle session, while others might be happy to ride along on your next road trip. I post a tracklist on every mix.
