Tropical House parties in Southern California are some of my favorite spots to play that funky groovy downtempo I like to collect. Fantastic people, sublime vibes. I've been playing with those cats since 2007. Good times.

Synaptic Serenade

I had SO much fun DJing Boulder Ecstatic Dance last Sunday, I just had to bump this one to the top of my priority list of DJ sets to upload! 

It was WILD on the dancefloor, so I've titled this: GET WiLD! in BED. BED is our acronym for Boulder Ecstatic Dance which happens every Sunday night in Boulder, Colorado! The vibes there are so magical, you'll just have to come check it out sometime to experience it for yourself. 

This DJ set is a journey through genres, tempos, vibes and emotion. Listen to it whenever you want to re-awaken your wild heart!

GET WiLD! in BED (Boulder Ecstatic Dance) 7/9/23 .:. The Avalon Ballroom

Suti is a beautiful little festival held in rural Portugal in late summer. I attended their fourth edition in September 2023 and had the pleasure of following an artist I love to pieces - Zen Baboon. My set started at midnight after they'd been playing midtempo wiggly tunes, so I followed suit. As a result, this set is a tad more on the energetic side within the range of music I like to play, and I had a chance to explore some of the slow house tunes I've been collecting and listening to. It was great fun, and the crowd was very responsive.

DJ Maggie carefully curates the best of downtempo electronic into lush, playful and deeply replenishing sets that invite listeners on shimmering audio odysseys. Whether leading flights to the depth of the heart or the outer dimensions of the cosmos, Maggie pilots music masterfully as a multi-dimensional tool—for joy enhancement, energy boosting, community building, a safe space for retreat, a salve for helping heal pain, or a focus-enhancing medium to optimize creativity or productivity.

Evolving her own brand of intuitive sound at the legendary Southern California desert gatherings of the groundbreaking Moontribe Collective and other conscious parties and festivals, Maggie soon established a reputation for her heart-expanding sonic rides. This eventually propelled her into the path of her current collaborations with esteemed downtempo artist and producer, Bluetech (Evan Bartholomew) and their labels Behind the Sky and  Over the Moon. Her first compilation, a 2xLP entitled ‘Matters of the Heart,’ was released in June 2021 on Behind The Sky, and she began releasing through Over the Moon in October 2021.
