TheClaw, a Canadian funk house duo from Quebec City, is excited to announce the release of their debut single "Hold It Down" on Solardish Records. Composed of former high school jazz bandmates Nicolas and Xavier, TheClaw has quickly become a rising force in the house music scene, bringing a fresh and groovy sound that blends elements of funk, blues, and soul. "Hold It Down" is more than just a track; it’s a piece of TheClaw’s history. The song is the first full-length track the duo produced together, with early versions dating back to 2021, even before TheClaw was officially formed. During the pandemic, Nicolas and Xavier, who had been living in different cities after graduation, began experimenting with sounds purely for fun using their DAW. What started as a casual jam session between two friends evolved into a defining moment for the duo, laying the foundation for their signature sound. "We were just experimenting and having fun, but "Hold It Down" ended up being the track that truly defined us as artists," says Nicolas. "It’s a funky, groovy tune with a touch of soul, and it carries a message that everyone can relate to – everyone needs someone to hold it down in their life. After spending five years apart in different cities, Nicolas and Xavier regrouped in their hometown of Quebec City in 2023, determined to rekindle their musical partnership. Drawing inspiration from their days in cover bands, where they paid homage to the likes of Jimi Hendrix and John Mayer, the duo began working on TheClaw project. Their shared love for jazz, funk, and blues naturally led them to explore a unique tonality of house music that is as nostalgic as it is innovative. TheClaw’s hard work and creative synergy quickly paid off. In early 2024, they released their debut EP, Freaks, which garnered attention for its fresh take on the funk house genre. 
Now, with "Hold It Down" as their debut release on Solardish Records, TheClaw is poised to make an even bigger impact on the electronic music scene.

It’s a love that destroys me, a sweet poison I choose to drink over and over again. Every frequency I generate feels like opening a portal to a time when I was whole, a time when this loneliness didn’t resonate in every damned note. The wavetable speaks to me in a language that burns, ripping through my skin with its raw honesty.

I hate it because it makes me remember, but I love it because those memories are all I have left. It’s so ugly it’s beautiful, so dirty it’s pure. This track is a fragment of my soul turned into sound; it’s not meant to please you—it’s meant to drag you into the abyss with me. If you listen, beware: you’ll feel what I feel, and there’s no turning back.

For quite a time now, the Metaphore Collectif team has been thinking about a way to keep track of its history, to anchor it over time. The recent health crisis precipitated things when after a forced closure, a big call for help was launched to save the Meta, their place, their studio, their club, the bastion of the free party in Marseille. A call to the members of the association, but also to the artists that played at Meta was made. The list was long, and almost all of them answered! 
Thus was born the compilation « Ici danse le peuple oublié » (“here is dancing the forgotten people”), including 64 tracks from 64 different artists. The compilation is going to be released on the Metaphore Industrie label, the 3rd of July (this coincides with the Bandcamp Day where the platform is not taking any fee) and it brings together the following artists :

DRILLPREMIERE: Simo Cell - Cassdédi Au Méta [Metaphore Industrie]

As a  DJ Manjit was involved in the London club scene for two decades, starting when the underground  scene was at it’s peak. 

In 2012 he set up psytrance audio/visual act Beat Pushers and released his first EP, Piccadilly Circus.

Today Manjit is producing his own tracks and releasing them through various record labels such as BABA, Pan Music Records, Global Techno Alliance, Eternity Sounds, RevKon Records and of course through Audiobrain Productions.

Unfortunately now Manjit’s RA reached a level which meant he could no longer DJ. Unable to continue with his passion for playing music to a live audience Manjit now directs his energy into creating music in his studio. So now, through Audiobrain, Manjit releases his free downloads and EP’s and also through various other labels while he continues to battle with his pain. Despite the issues caused by his health he has  a passionate motivation for the genre of electronic music and is continuously extending his knowledge and skills in this area. He is interested in supporting others with their projects as long as they are able to keep an open mind regarding how his health can affect him day to day.
