Marc James was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Growing up with older siblings, he was introduced to a wide variety of music, which deeply influenced his DJ sets. During his teenage and early adult years, Marc immersed himself in rock and metal, regularly attending concerts and supporting local bands and venues.

Everything changed one night while he was home on military leave. A few friends took him to his first house music club in Providence, Rhode Island. That night proved to be a turning point—it opened his eyes to the electrifying world of dance music and set him on a new path.
From then on, Marc became a regular at the top nightclubs in Boston, Providence, New York City, and New Orleans, captivated by the energy and magic of the DJ booth. Watching DJs lift entire dance floors into a euphoric state sparked something within him. Inspired, he decided to channel that same energy. The very next day, Marc bought his first pair of turntables—and he’s never looked back.

  During his time proudly serving in the United States Air Force, Marc had the unique opportunity to travel the world and share his passion for music. He performed in countries such as Germany, South Korea, Italy, and Hungary, building a global appreciation for dance music.
His talent and dedication earned him prestigious guest appearances on Germany’s legendary Sunshine Live radio station and multiple guest mixes on Moscow’s 16Bit.fm radio.

Today, Marc James continues to make waves in the dance music scene as a resident DJ at Twelve After Twelve, one of Washington, D.C.'s premier nightclubs.
