Now if you don't know who Nick is then you have missed something very special.

I have so many fond memories of Nick's music. Most people think Nick was massively picked up when he did the 'Like to f#ck' track, however my first memory of a Nick Hannam song, i was at a party, the music was bumping along nicely on the cd, head's were all bouncing and suddenly the music changed after a complete cut out and a guy saying 'DJ PLAY ME A FUNKY BEAT'. I wanted this song so bad and eventually i got my taste. Ever since i have been a fan.

I found out later that this kid was like 10 years younger then me, defo a bit jealous to say the least but what a talented lad, me and my mate used to call him the whizz kid, he was that good. Even as his elder, that mind set of 'WOW look at what this kid can do'. It made me think i have to better my game so much both as a producer and a DJ, and later i did.

The first picture i ever saw of Nick was a picture at a club in Leeds called mission. He was in like a fisherman's hat, is the only way i can describe it, with light's all behind him and that's what Nick did best in my opinion. He along with his friends (which i have tried to include in this mix, i apologize if i missed you out but can you imagine how many friend's this guy had) lit a fire under what was once a boring style. Jackin House. They gave it the modern bass and beat's required to one day make it main stream, which Tom Zanetti and Nick achieved one day with Kane Towney's help (platinum record too, well done lad's). 

For this, thousand's of people will always remember him as a true inspiration to house music and his song's will live on forever.

Loved my set Saturday at  The Lion Bar And Club Walsall. Didn’t plan anything and just went with the crowd. Atmosphere in there was great. I’d set my phone up to record me so I could take some clips from it and I listened back to it yesterday and it was a great mix so I got the history of the set up in rekordbox and re-recorded it yesterday. It's a mixture of Commercial house, Classics & Mashup's.
