Brothers, studio partners and seasoned producers who’s achievements to date encompass 4 albums, a fruitful international touring career and an array of heavyweight productions spread across their three monikers Antix, Fiord and Triangle.

As producers their work is constantly evolving and in the process of crafting their last Antix album 'Cavalier' this evolution has seen them transported into new realms. "The studio being our second home is our creative playground which gives us the confidence to work outside the square. Our sound on the new album tends to sway to the deeper emotional side with splashes of robotic funk and melancholic Indy dance. But don't think we've gone all soft, the Fiord releases of late are hypnotic dance-floor monsters; we still love to pack a punch and give people a thrill".

Hailing from New Zealand with a musical background rich with influences from Ritchie Hawtin to Rhythm and Sound, Barton and Hayden have such a plethora of inspiration it is indisputable that the quality of their music simply demands your attention. We're back from our extended holiday period and we're proud to present our first release of 2024, this scintillating new EP from the Australian bushtechno weapon, Tom Baker.

The B-Side, 'Weather Patterns' finds Mr. Baker venturing into dark, driving musical territories. With its broody and menacing character, this track acts as the perfect storm to turn a dancefloor inside out. The title track, 'My Mistake', was born from a serendipitous moment in the studio, a happy accident whilst messing around on the tools that have evolved into a sonic masterpiece that is simply extraordinary.

The EP is accompanied by a banging psychedelic techno remix of Weather Patterns by Greenwolve and a smooth progressive take on 'My Mistake' by Human Element. Ultimately, this journey comes to its inevitable ending and is signed out by a bonus track - a 2024 edit of Tom's remix to 'Medusa' by South Punk, infused with newfound energy and vitality.

    Evolving from the beginning of the new century, Progressive Trance offered a huge
resource for musical experiments right from its first days. Reducing the speed and the amount of sound effects, focusing on rhythm structures and single melodies but keeping up the deep and trancy atmosphere, it were mostly North European and Israeli producers that formed and evolved this style. As the name of this genre already reveals, Progressive is an ever evolving and modifying style. While some producers remained at a certain stadium of this sound and developed mostly concerning the production quality from there on, others broke new grounds again and turned to the interesting possibilities of modern club music. This is exactly the point when True Lies came to life: Having already loads of experience and a vast background in the Progressive Trance scene as DJ team Montagu & Golkonda, producing under the moniker Symphonix, promoting events like Tshitraka festival and also running the successful label Blue Tunes records, brothers Stefan and Sirko Wötanowski from North Germany felt the desire to explore some new soundscapes again and founded the project.

The musical style of True Lies obtains influences from various electronic music genres and synthesizes something outstanding and unique from it. Reduced sounds, forcing rhythms and crystal clear productions aim the body of the dancers and deliver up-to-date club music.

On the other hand there still is psychedelic potential in this sound, the Trance background is audible subtle but very distinct. Quotations from Trance, House and Electro are conflated to a very special kind of hybrid style, taking up the recent developments of electronic dance music. No doubt, the long-year experience as DJs and producers as well as the absolute music addiction of the two dudes behind this project made something pretty outstanding.

In consequence True Lies earned reputation from different scenes: Their releases can be found both in the cases of modern Progressive Trance DJs and Progressive House lovers, hailing from a totally different background. True Lies have already rocked countless dance floors all over the world and there still is a lot of potential to look forward for as the history of this act implies.

As Antix, brothers Barton and Hayden have toured the world, playing 100′s of live shows, mesmerizing audiences far and wide. With their alias FIORD, there is only one rule – “there are no rules”. This kind of creative process is quite something, as FIORD unfolds, its sounds reek of a new approach, producing a textured timeless rhythm. Working with these outlaw ethics and a belief of always looking to the future, the results are turning heads. FIORD sounds have been in high demand seeing the boys headlining many of the big festivals of late. Their famed production has output a string of killer remixes and singles for top notch labels; Audio Therapy, Sprout, Global Underground, Curfew, Flow and eVapour8. And with support and high praise from all the top jocks the future is definitely moving fiord. Martin Knecht is Human Element. His journey into electronic music began in his early teenage years. After a few releases as a solo artist, he formed Earsugar together with Liquid Soul in 2003 and later their label Mikrokosmos Records. His projects grew on a global scale with performances at major festivals and parties all over the world. In 2013, he joined Iboga Records where most of his productions get released including his album 'Evolving' that came out in late 2017. We love Martin's deep hypnotic DJ sets of tecnoish beats, and asked him to make one for us. Enjoy!

Human Element Set for Unite

Dusan Sekic aka Duca is a producer of electronic music from Belgrade, Serbia.

His story began at his age of 12 when he started going to Belgrade techno events and clubbing soon became his way of life. Since his first party he has had a little doubt about what he wanted to do in his life. Around that time he began collecting his first music making gear and started creating some loops and melodies of his own.

Year 2004 was the turning point for this young artist as he finally made his debut release. He dabbled into everything - from acid trance through techno to goa trance - only to reach progressive house and techno, which are the genres he is most into these days. At 2007 he made contact with renowned label Tribal Vision Records, soon became one of their artists and in September 2008 released there his debut album entitled After Dark. The album was an instant success and Duca became well-known name on the progressive and techno scene.

During the last couple of years he has released a big amount of singles and EPs on number of top progressive/techno labels such as Flow / Flow Vinyl, Iboga, Spiral Trax, Lo Kik and many others. He has performed worldwide with his live and DJ sets, including countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Israel, Czech Republic, Germany or Switzerland. He has been much honored to be part of Sao Paulo's Virada Cultural line-up and considers this festival to be the pinnacle of his career.

We're talking with DJ ZigMon, director and co-founder of Australian electronic music label Bassic Records, to find out more about "bush techno" and the grooves of the underground outdoor techno scene.

A vagabond of the Australian festival circuit, ZigMon’s diverse energies have compelled dancefloors at Splendour In The Grass, Rainbow Serpent, Strawberry Fields, Earth Frequency, Dragon Dreaming, Babylon, Tanglewood, Psyfari, Esoteric, Elements, as an official resident DJ of Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Bohemian Beatfreaks and Subsonic Music Festival. Beyond his home country, ZigMon has performed on Thailand's Half Moon Festival main stage, and is set to perform at Noisily Festival UK in 2021.
As a successful and contemporary music curator, ZigMon was invited by Yuli Fershtat AKA Perfect Stranger to compile his ‘Eucalyptych’ VA on the famed Digital Structures imprint. On his own label ZigMon’s recent compilations include the ‘Bushfire Aid’ series fundraising for Australian bushfire relief, and ‘Labyrinth, Lost In Techno 02’, which climbed ten different Beatport charts, with fifteen total release and track chartings, including four Top 10.
Connecting a thriving progressive, psychedelic and bush techno scene throughout Australia and worldwide, ZigMon delivers heartfelt efforts and innovation that glimmers through the modern music industry congestion.

Human Element is the project of Martin Knecht. His journey into electronic music began in his early teenage years and after some years of dedicated practicing, he started to perform in clubs and parties around Switzerland. A longtime residency at zürichs legendary Labyrinth Club helped him to shape his instinct and intuition and made his agenda busy playing all over the country. 
He moved a step further to write and produce his own music and after a few releases as a solo artist, he formed the progressive project Earsugar in 2003 and later the label mikrokosmos records together with Nicola Capobianco, aka Liquid Soul. The busy tour schedule continued but this time on a global scale with performances at major festivals and parties all over the world. 
In 2009 martin decided to focus more on his solo work and since then he kept on shaping and exploring new frontiers in his creation as Human Element. In 2013 he joined the Iboga Records family where most of his productions get released including his album EVOLVING that came out in late 2017. 
His sound is a blend of progressive house, progressive trance and techno, best to describe as deep driving and hypnotic soundscapes
