Tukka D is originally from South London now lives in  Sydney.

From a young age he has always been into his music, singing at various events, helping to build his confidence performing.

He gradually found himself locked into Pirate radio stations; Ruud Awakening, Flight FM, Shadow FM and of course the great corner stone that is Kool London. 

Instead of sunday sessions down the pub, he would stay in holding onto the wire fm aerial to earth the frequency, burying himself under a swamp of TDK cassettes. 

With a number of his friends becoming DJs, he naturally felt the need to take part.  His passion for the jungle music and scene was strong. 

Being extremely nontechnical he naturally gravitated towards the MIC.  Mainly hosting at parties and local club events.

Throughout the mid-late 90s he regularly attended One Nation, Jungle fever, True Playez@fabric, Atomics,  The End/ Den, Telepathy, Rewind to name a few. 

He was completely taken by the music and the ability that the it had in bringing so many different types of people together. One vibe.

Specifically he was drawn to the MCs and their role adding another dynamic to the atmosphere and helping to add value to the DJs set delivery.

Key inspirations for him at this time; Fearless, Dynamite, Stevie Hyper D, Eksman and of course Mc Fats. Nowadays additions such as Impact MC, Stapleton, SPMC.

Over the years, highlights for Tukka D include supporting acts like Orifice Vulgatron (Foreign Beggars), Micky Finn, Aphrodite, Roni Size, Tango, TC sharing the MIC with MC Mana (Salonella Dub) at a private warehouse party, Dnb stage @full moon party in Thailand, various Dnb and Garage harbour boat parties, performing with a Samba band in Brazil and  putting on the warm up festival event at Exit festival in Serbia with his good friend Shyam (Triple S). Good times brother!

In the last couple of years he has been given re-introduction to the local Sydney scene (thank you Kylie Stead and Koolade). 

Making appearances on Bondi Beach Radio and hosting nights for Afterlife, Elements of Tech and Bass, Bass Drop, Breakneck Entertainment, Renegade, IloveUKG and the Riot Club. 

The scene here is about community and something very unique. It needs be valued and respected as such.  Tukka D aims to continue to build on his style, adapt and work on being more versatile for the Australian crew.

There is also talk of production colabs in the pipeline and would welcome any opportunities or ideas you might have in mind.

Michael Jay a veteran of the electronic music scene tearing up club dancefloors around the world since the age of 18 and spanning genres from drum and bass to funky house to funk and electro, Michael frequently throws five or six styles into a set and does it all seamlessly. 

With past residencies in London, Thailand, and Argentina, Michael has been a regular fixture at Sydney's Home Nightclub, Candy's, World Bar, Chinese Laundry, Civic Underground and Lady Lux since arriving down under... you'll also find him at a boat party here and there.
