Twisted Sibling - Re-Illumination (Waltone remix)

fka boursin is a DJ and producer out of Bristol, UK. 
Previously known as DJ Boursin, he is recognized for his deep, ambient-infused house music that explores political dimensions of clubs and identity politics.

Welcomed into the Scissor & Thread fold, fka boursin shares two cuts of deep and introspective electronic music. 

The original Listless Intertext is a hazy trip through ambient soundscapes, shuffling rhythms and half-caught conversations, drifting across a 12 minute run time that slowly evolves and shifts with time.  

"Listless Intertext is a track centred around the "failed" employment of cheap vocoder software that attempted to process explicit words and phrases across 11 minutes." says fka boursin. "Instead, the vocoder output made any words indecipherable and I was left with thematic vagueness. The final text of the track is simply a submission to its own limitations with some french thrown in."

When label bosses Frank & Tony step up for their Housebeat Dub, they keep the essential mood but introduce a thick, fat groove that works just as well in conveying the mood. 

"Our remix is a strictly dancefloor approach," says Frank, "an extended psychedelic beat rework perfect for late night, early morning vibes".

In the Amazon rain forest and around, the shamans have preferred alter egos they use to transform into a higher consciousness and transcend the limits of their ordinary reality self... It is the jaguar on land, the anaconda in the water and the harpy eagle in the air...  

This sub-tropical eagle is extraordinary powerful, dominant of its environment and perfectly designed to rule under the jungle canopy... The Harpy eagle represents strength and never weakness. It is the nature's lord of high level perception...

These eagles are considered wind spirits by the amerindians. With powers that wide they are helping the shamans to the transit of the dead from the jungle to the underworld... They have the power to see both the entire picture from above and any tiny details down below...  

In the Amazon, the harpy eagle is the carrier of light who calls from above. It calls for transformation... It urges us to leave behind what is not necessary, erasing from the mind things that don't serve the highest perceptive...

The harpy eagle, soars and calls from above the valleys. Able to see from above all living creatures, trees, rocks, rivers, and even the curvature of the Earth. It is the highest level of spiritual perception a south american shaman collaborates with, in order to bring strength and sense to the spiritual world, and below...

The drums sections appears in many ceremonies of traditional human societies... They guide the participants on the dancing path of higher perspective... For that to happen the shamans use the power of the drums to change the brain waves of the participants to the ceremony... 

Once the body has entered a trance state, the mind can fly and observe from a vantage point, from above like an eagle, and use its unlimited powers to shift consciousness, let go of the old and embrace the new...

And always the sweet sound of guitars in the sky and the power of the bass in the ground...
