Josephine’s Soundscapes es el alias de Jose Salas, creador y realizador audiovisual, director de arte y promotor de la cultura alternativa en Madrid. Con más de 20 años en la escena electrónica, ha trabajado en numerosos clubes y ha fundado plataformas y colectivos como Paraíso Madrid, CALMA o la promotora independiente a_mal_gam_a. También ha desarrollado proyectos radiofónicos como Silly Europeans y Sonda Dispersa en la emisora pública M21. Actualmente, dirige Campos de Marte, dedicado a la difusión de música experimental, y comisaria Temple, un ciclo de sesiones de escucha en Espacio Perpendicular.

Josephine’s Soundscapes conecta pasado y presente con un enfoque creativo y reflexivo. Sus DJ sets y collages musicales crean atmósferas inmersivas de escape y electricidad, e invitan a un viaje multirreferencial donde el tiempo y el espacio se enredan, donde todo importa, aunque nada es imprescindible..

Born on 28 September 1983 in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid. Luis' musical background is heavily influenced by hip-hop due to the atmosphere of his birth town (home to a US army base) until -still very young- at the mid of the 90's, techno and house music touched on him; he fell in love with both styles. Initially as a guest of two great friends and Madrid's prominent DJs: Oscar Blue and Carlos Areste (PHASE INSANE REC), they nurtured and encouraged him to dedicate himself to music and later gave him his first opportunities to begin his career in his local town. However, Luís moved to London in 2008, where his path was paved for a life dedicated to electronic music. From this period, it's worth highlighting amongst others, shows at EGG, Shoreditch, Crucifix Lane, Basin House, Café 1001, n5 Cavendish Sq. or Aquarium, all in the capital city. He has appeared at Cartulis Day, FACT, SHAKE IT, This is not serious , Smooth, Leading Astray and floreplay at Tresor Berlin all well known club nights and now witness to his talent. Especial mention to Smooth Fundays, a personal, quality project, an event exclusively about music where the artist explores his most intimate side.Currently resident dj Leading Astray

Sometimes music goes beyond itself. Travels through sound in a constant evolution. It runs through rivers of darkness. Slides between every frequency until it opens your mind, carrying the listener to the thin line that separates club culture and musical awareness. This commitment combined with small doses of contemporary art aims to instill a new way of understanding Techno. The result is "T-Label". This collective combines development and perseverance to transport the public to places where it has never been, and where it will never return.

From the union between T-Label and Industrial Copera (Granada), the most underground and avant-garde concept of the club is born, where different disciplines are diluted in a particular aesthetic in order to create an environment in which love, art and respect prevail. This project receives de name of "Vortex".

Julian M has been pioneering on the Romanian Electronic Music scene since 1999, when the clubbing movement was just starting to emerge.
After creating Future fm in 1998, the first pirate radiostation which promoted exclusively Electronic Music, his love for music made him get actively involved in organizing the first Electronic Music events on the coast of the Black Sea.

Julian also produced radioshows on various radio stations, most notably the Groove Hour on Pro Fm between 2005-2007, Beat Lab & Area Lounge on BIN Radio between 2014-2021, and was a resident DJ for many years in different venues, now relying on over 2 decades of mixing experience.
As a producer, he released materials on several labels (Glory Box Records, FIR Records) and was the first Romanian artist to appear consecutively on FOEM Electronic Youth compilations.

Besides regular radioshows and gigs all over the country, Julian M also played at the main festivals in Romania - Electric Castle, Untold, Neversea, Summer Well, MusicOutdoorExperience and lately he initiated a series of events using vintage cassette tapes and vintage equipment with new recordings, called Area Lounge.
Julian enjoys creating true musical journeys, his eclectic & melodic mix sets passing through a variety of styles, from Downtempo & Balearic to Funky, Soulful Deep-House & Progressive.
