I once said "It's a hobby. But suddenly I got my first booking on April 13th, 2019 at Sfeer at Beach Club Klein Scheveningen, The Netherlands.

I wanted to see where my passion for music would led to. But it remains a hobby next to my current job. 

Meanwhile, a few years past by and I found my place in the music industry as a DJ performer.

I really enjoy when people listen to my sets and even more when I see them enjoying it. This completes my evening!

Meanwhile, I performed at various events nationally and internationally, including a few local events in Ibiza.

Luckily my event bookings continue to come which allows me to enjoy my passion.
Fortunately, my bookings are coming in which allow me to follow my passion. 

The upcoming time I’am planning to upload more of my own produced sets onto SoundCloud and Mixcloud. 

This will enable you to listen 24/7 to my music from home or anywhere else.

At the age of 12 started making mixtapes recording house music, now called eurodance and graduadly started buying vinyl, what followed was buying a mixer and 2 turntables and started to learn how to DJ at the age of 14..  

In the late 90’s vinyl got replaced by cd´s I changed to allround dj to play at local clubs, and also become a drive in show dj .. I Learned so much about entertaining different types of crowd ..In 2015 I stopped allround DJ´ing, but still got the gear, and played some house tracks.. 

Nowadays again found my passion in tribal and Bigroom house .. My previous experiences help me be different as a DJ.. I love to interact and look at the crowd, I don’t pre-plan my sets, mostly picking my tracks on the fly.. This makes, that my sets are always different and fresh.

The real OVANO sound, will always bring you hapiness and is high in NRG, Standing still just isn´t an option.

Shimano Overvliet uit Alphen aan den Rijn is de man achter DJ Ovano. Hij begon op twaalfjarige leeftijd al mixtapes te maken waarop hij housemuziek opnam, nu bekend als eurodance en begon ook in die tijd vinyl te kopen. Wat volgde was de aanschaf van een mixer en twee draaitafels, daarop leerde hij op veertienjarige leeftijd hoe hij moest DJ'en.

Eind jaren negentig raakte vinyl uit en werd vervangen door cd's en veranderde Ovano (toen nog gewoon DJ Shimano) in een allround DJ die optrad in lokale clubs en bij drive-in shows. Ovano leerde op deze manier veel over het vermaken van verschillende soorten publiek. In 2015 stopte hij met allround DJ'en, maar de apparatuur bleef waarop hij af en toe wat house tracks mixte.

Tegenwoordig heeft Ovano zijn passie weer gevonden in Tribal en Bigroom house. Zijn eerdere ervaringen helpen hem om als DJ net even anders te zijn. Ovano houdt ervan om te connecten met het publiek en naar zijn publiek te kijken, hij planned zijn sets niet van tevoren, meestal kiest hij zijn tracks ter plekke uit. Dit zorgt ervoor dat zijn sets altijd anders en fris zijn.

De echte OVANO sound brengt altijd een geluksmomentje en zit vol met energie. Stilstaan is gewoon geen optie.
