Calling an EP “Devil” although it will most certainly conjure a smile on the face of any elctronic music enthusiast might come as a surprise, or even cause confusion. 
But let’s be fucking serious, when Boris Brejcha picked this title, he had probably no evil thoughts in mind but was rather daydreaming of one of his many shows that are known to turn any club into a diabolically hot sweat lodge due to the energetic atmosphere and ecstatic crows. 
So in the end you could arque that the title of his new EP seems long overdue. 

The name giving A-Side comes as clean and to the point as we know it from Boris Brejcha.
A rolling beat that never looks back but marches forward, driven by pure energy and nifty as hell. 
Let the speaking devil suck you into this dark piece of High-Tech Minimal and join the ride for almost the minutes. 

Right from the start “The Darkest Night” reveals an even groovier drive that makes it sound unstoppable. Furthermore the track turns out to be an emotional rollercoaster in the form of a roaring and intimidating fanfare that fades in and out before a catchy melody line spreads a thoughtful and intimate atmosphere. Ricky Ricardo grew up in Almelo, where as a teenager he first came into contact with what would later turn out to be his passion. As an MC at house parties in the 90s, young Ricky not only developed his sense of rhythm, it was the experience of a house party that had the most influence.

Ricky Ricardo groeide op in Almelo, waar hij als tiener voor het eerst in aanraking kwam met wat later zijn passie zou blijken te zijn. Als MC op houseparty's in de jaren 90 ontwikkelde de jonge Ricky niet alleen zijn gevoel voor ritme, het was de ervaring van een houseparty die de meeste invloed had.
