This one marks a new direction for me musically. We’ve always loved Wain Maady Wain by Saint Levant, it’s such a powerful and emotional track on its own. So we challenged ourselves to create an edit that respects the original’s vibe while giving it a fresh pulse. Hope you feel the journey in this one. Big love to Saint Levant for the inspiration.

James Dexter’s star has been rising for a while now - the young Brit turning out killer tracks regularly on the back of hugely well received DJ sets. On his second outing for Dessous Recordings, Dexter does what he does best - four slices of deep, funky and vibing house music for the floor.

Lead track 'Drift' is typical of Dexter’s flair for subtle, edgy sounds, wrapped inside a warm and inviting groove. Elements come and go, but the shuffling, infection feel runs throughout.

'Take Me' is a more upfront vibe with a seriously bumping groove - Dexter clearly well versed in the roots of house music from Chicago.

'Whose Rules ?' is a snappy, bright and lively production, with a sub bass that will troubler some of the world's best club systems in the coming months. The light, jazzy vocals offsets the groove perfectly - sure to be a big tune for a wide variety of DJs.

The last track of the release is 'Disco Deep' - and it pretty much does exactly what it says - a swung, groovy feel punctuated by disco claps and balearic flourishes that will sound as good on the beach as in the basement.

Dario D'Attis is making a solo return to Hive Audio with his new single „Jefferson Avenue“. On the release circuit since 1999 the man himself has become not only a staple within the Swiss underground scene but has grown into an internationally renowned producer over the past two decades and one of the main sources of quality electronic music released on Hive Audio as well.

The opening title track „Jefferson Avenue“ sees Dario D'Attis employing a highly seductive House meets TechHouse structure as a solid foundation for a simple, yet super effective bass groove rolling in conjunction with various layers of detailed percussions, tense string build ups and hypnotic, microsliced elements captivating crowds in a never ending tunnel of pure hypnotic rhythm signatures.

With „Tek Jazz“ the Swiss producer follows his signature hypergroove path once again, adding sparse metallic latin drums, swirling, intricate melodies as well as droning, Deep House-resembling pads and spiralling, trance-inducing vocal snippets to the mix to create a well sexy cut for intimate late night sessions in red velvet clad underground venues run by absolute House music connaisseurs.

Turkish producer Onur Ozman debuts on Hottrax this December with ‘At Spoerri’s EP’, alongside 
a remix from NO ART founders ANOTR. 
Originating from the Istanbul electronic music scene, the Zurich-based artist adds to his busy schedule 
of releases this year by debuting on Jamie Jones’ offshoot. Having previously released on Constant 
Circles, Sincopat and Kwench Records, Onur brings his delicate and emotive production to the forefront 
while Amsterdam based duo ANOTR deliver a remix. 
 
‘At Spoerri's’ opens with atmospheric rain samples and chimes, a cantering drum pattern and melodic 
stabs before ‘KMIYH’ follows with pitched toms, snappy chords and an infectious vocal loop. Next, 
‘Warhol’ takes a hip-hop influence with crunchy snares, doubling kicks and fluttering keys, until finally 
ANOTR’s remix of ‘At Spoerri's’ then elevates the energy by separating a rolling bass line on two 
octaves, working in tight hi-hats and beat repeating the synths.

The world-renowned Crosstown Rebels add the third instalment to their annual Spirits compilation, an album which has become established for delivering some of the biggest hits that have been heard in Damian Lazarus’ sets over the past year, from some of the most esteemed artists in electronic music. Let your mind become absorbed in this collection of diverse and exciting tracks.

The man himself Damian Lazarus opens the release, setting the tone with the haunting hypnosis of Ergot which contains snippets of an ancient Chilean revolution song, relevant to the current political climate. Next up Guti & Fosky collaborate once again in fine style to produce a smoky, late-night atmosphere, with the moody bassline and expertly crafted beat of Da Drumz. Side B and legendary producer Martin Buttrich combines driving tripped out rhythms with warm surging pads, creating a great musical tonic during Slow Down. Denney & James Dexter then deliver a peak time monster in the form of Transcend.

Next up Harry Romero adds a touch of romance on It’s You with an unravelling rhythm of heartfelt synth. Dennis Cruz’s Mother Earth follows up with striking vocals playing off one another with soaring brass and strings. More DJ ammunition is provided by Piem on Freak Out where a familiar looped sample is manipulated to ignite dance floor euphoria. Finally the bounce of Adonis Rivera’s XX Acid will have you hooked from the outset, as you would expect from the title, razor-sharp acid awakens every sense in this heady piece. Another great Spirits compilation to add to the esteemed series.

Mainz based Tilman Schwarz, just back from his debut album on spontanMusik and several other respective releases, breaks down the barriers of sound again by remixing some of the earcatchers of "Undefinable". The formular of the remixers is potent and lifts Tilman`s deep tracks on another level of clubmusic. These tracks are remixes like remixes should be: Keep the soul of the original and do something completely different.
