Here is a special edit I worked on with Azire!
This one marks a new direction for me musically. We’ve always loved Wain Maady Wain by Saint Levant, it’s such a powerful and emotional track on its own. So we challenged ourselves to create an edit that respects the original’s vibe while giving it a fresh pulse. Hope you feel the journey in this one. Big love to Saint Levant for the inspiration.

Patanegra is an epic slow burner with a real sense of drama. It builds on militant drums and has exotic vocals over the dancing drums. It sweeps you up and carries you away with real emotion. 

Mbamba then stays just as deep, with moody and thoughtful pads over soft drums. It’s music to get you in a trance and marks another fine EP on this blossoming label.

Mihai Popoviciu has become a staple figure on the electronic music scene in recent years. The DJ and producer from Sibiu in Romania has been consistently releasing firegrade dancefloor weapons on labels such as Highgrade, Intacto and Poker Flat for well over a decade, and his passion for quality seems stronger than ever. 
Sleepwalking is a deep groover, with a bubbling undercurrent that slowly works its way to the surface. It has a jazzy, swingy feel that hits the mark early and moves under your skin. 
Italian producer Francesca Lombardo returns to Poker Flat and steps up with a superb, trippy remix that adds a nervy, vibing baseline that takes the track in a totally new direction.

Turkish producer Onur Ozman debuts on Hottrax this December with ‘At Spoerri’s EP’, alongside 
a remix from NO ART founders ANOTR. 
Originating from the Istanbul electronic music scene, the Zurich-based artist adds to his busy schedule 
of releases this year by debuting on Jamie Jones’ offshoot. Having previously released on Constant 
Circles, Sincopat and Kwench Records, Onur brings his delicate and emotive production to the forefront 
while Amsterdam based duo ANOTR deliver a remix. 
 
‘At Spoerri's’ opens with atmospheric rain samples and chimes, a cantering drum pattern and melodic 
stabs before ‘KMIYH’ follows with pitched toms, snappy chords and an infectious vocal loop. Next, 
‘Warhol’ takes a hip-hop influence with crunchy snares, doubling kicks and fluttering keys, until finally 
ANOTR’s remix of ‘At Spoerri's’ then elevates the energy by separating a rolling bass line on two 
octaves, working in tight hi-hats and beat repeating the synths.

HOVR's "Ostsee" drops on Luxemburg's Lauter. imprint and flows through our ears right into our hearts. A pushing breakbeat, lo-fi chords and gentle vocals recorded on a laptop microphone make us long for the good times. Including two heavy remixes, the EP is well diversified. Italo Brutalo turns it into a real Italo banger just waiting to hit the dance floor with it's wonderful 80s vibe, while Cologne based David Hasert & Faris Hilton release a minimal-tech-slapper with new melodies and a high energy level.

We welcome back our old friend Riven to the label with three strong originals and one superb remix by Plusculaar. The title track “Juno” is the one leaning the most towards the more house side of minimal music and the track is pushed forward by a long evolving pad and a sweet deep house stab synth.Romanian Plusculaar’s version of Juno dazzles with all the tiny sounds that are dancing around in the background combined with a very dry rhythm section. It’s very trippy and we cherish the vibe! “Where’s My Acid” is a darker deep tech oriented piece of music with some spaced out synth sounds, a track which will hopefully soon heat up a lot of dance floors in the later hours. The EP is completed with “Melting Pot”, the most stripped down one of the originals, a track driven by it’s rolling beat and sub section.
