Forgotten Sands – Sables Oublies

I am trying hard to come up with songs that are, for me, different. In this song two people meet, recognising a common feeling of loneliness, they go for a coffee and chat about their respective issues. Afterwards they agree to mee t again - cue for a follow up song - or two.

I have tried to work with an unexpected structure, short verses and longer choruses. AND staying away from cliche rhymes by actively staying away from rhymes altogether. I like it and although I found it difficult to stay within it's boundaries, I  have come to love the way I flowed from verse to pre -chorus to chorus. I really hope to complete the story in a trilogy at some time in the near future.

J’ai réécrit le texte latin du Lacrymosa, en gardant son élan spirituel, mais en l’adressant à une autre entité : Gaïa, la Terre-Mère.

Le morceau se divise en deux volets :

I) L’appel des humains – coupables, fragiles, désorientés.

II) La plainte de la Terre – majestueuse, endeuillée, vivante encore.

Le latin devient ici une langue de l’âme, hors dogme, hors église — une prière adressée à ce qui nous dépasse et nous porte tout à la fois.

“I’m not an environmental activist — just a human casting a lucid gaze upon our world.”

I rewrote the Latin text of the Lacrimosa, keeping its spiritual momentum but directing it toward another entity: Gaia, Mother Earth.

The track unfolds in two parts:

I) The cry of humans – guilty, fragile, disoriented.

II)The lament of the Earth – majestic, grieving, still alive.

Latin here becomes a language of the soul — beyond dogma, beyond church — a prayer to something greater, yet deeply within.
