Solid Gold RnB Session 01

DJ SoliD has been in and around Toronto’s club scene for decades. With a deep connection to dance music in all its forms, SoliD’s sets incorporate soulful, deep and classic grooves that continue to entertain dance floors around the city. These occasions extend from appearances at contemporary venues like Boogie, Basement 254, and Joe Bird to Toronto’s legendary spots of the past—Roxy Blue, Tilt Lounge, Revival, and Gypsy Co-op. With an ability to blend various house styles, and with a penchant also for drum and bass, his reputation continues to grow amongst his peers in Toronto’s buzzing nightlife, and he continues to showcase his energy and tune selection in and around the city whenever he sees opportunity.

Recently, DJ SoliD has taken the exciting step into music production and over the past few years has started to craft a distinct sound. His multitude of Bandcamp releases showcase a deep, percussive, and melodic take on house music, layering rhythmic complexity in a way that delivers a forward-thinking approach to production and has helped him to begin to carve his lane within the boundaries of the genre.

Through both his DJ sets and his productions, DJ SoliD remains an meaningful part of Toronto’s house scene. His growing dedication to the craft ensures that he continues to evolve while staying true to the genre’s roots.
