Tereza Frimlova, known as DJ Tara Q, is more than just an artist—she’s a storyteller, a visionary, and a force of change through music. From the very beginning, music has been her expression, her language, and her way of reshaping the world around her.

Born into a world of sound, she started as a gospel singer at the elementary school age, finding her voice in evangelistic gospel music at church. As she grew, her love for music expanded into new realms—chanting, high school chorus performances (even internationally), and a deep academic dive into the art. She studied music, musical history, composition, theory, and vocal performance, shaping a foundation that would later fuel her unique sound.

Tara Q’s journey has taken her across genres, from live gigs as a singer and host vocalist to experimenting with electronic music, rap, and hip-hop—genres that have always been close to her heart. Writing rap lyrics since her teenage years, she has now stepped fully into her artistry, bringing her words to life. With a deep love for the culture and surrounded by talented MCs, she’s making her dream a reality, one track at a time.

Her solo career officially launched a year ago with the release of her first album, DEMO, featuring the singles “Determined to Rise Up” and “Dusk in My Mind” (a collaboration with Anno Domini). Now, she’s back with her latest project, Album No.1, featuring her solo rap track “The Only Thing”—her rawest, most personal work yet. It’s her voice, her story, her truth—bold, a bit exaggerated, but always real.

This is just the beginning. DJ Tara Q is here to inspire, uplift, and challenge. Music is a tool, a movement, a way to help people express themselves and storytelling and that’s what she’s here to do.
