This is the most amazing mix I've ever heard....by light years!  No words for how wonderful this is, Tony.

Our latest Mix-Ins features the visionary grooves of Seattle's Cloud Cat. More than just an ill mix, this set is the finale of a trilogy of sets linked by a narrative, titled "DROID'S NIGHT OUT". A futuristic techno love story between a droid compelled to become more human, and a human scientist with a fetish for droids who has secret science-magic that may make such transformations possible.  

The 1h 45min set is sub-divided into three mini sets, each a 'scene' with a mood arc, ranging from dark trippy soulful funk, to emphatic peak hour house, capped off by deep futuristic techno - with many vocal tunes throughout giving voice to the events experienced by the droid and scientist.

In Cloud Cat's own words:
Still processing the tumultuous experience of Sheila's electro-biology science-majick during Act 2, the Droid begins to have the fledgling human emotions and desires that have been his greatest need. The feelings are more confounding and intoxicating than even his A.I. could imagine. He realizes he must decide to regress or evolve more deeply.

Sheila is developing a need to transform towards the cybernetic herself, to enhance her powers and she senses it will aid in having the two become one. It remains to be seen how their connection will manifest.

Their paths are unique and intertwined, and the future holds untold events with music ever at the fore. Yet the Droid's creators don't want him to deviate from his programming...

During his 10 year stint at Geffen/Warner Bros. he produced and remixed such records as De La Soul “Me Myself and I”, Paula Abdul “Vibeology”, Gerardo “We Want The Funk”, Jermaine Stewart “Set Me Free (album)”, and the chart topping Simple Pleasure “Where do We Go From Here”. 

He went on to further build Chicago’s reputation as the birthplace of House within the Jive records system with his brother Wayne Williams with remixes on DJ Pierre “Come and Fly”; and Mr. Lee “Pump It”. 

In 2004, Jesse garnered a Grammy mention with his remixes of R. Kelly “Step In The Name of Love” and Eamon’s number 1 smash hit, “F *** It (I Don’t Want You Back)”.

2016 has been a year of great trials and tribulations for mankind, but amidst great loss and discontent there have also been great gains!

My personal year in music has been quite rewarding, from a Coachella performance sharing the stage with Kamasi Washington and Lindsey Stirling, to getting to perform at Red Rocks Amphitheater with Maya Tuttle. Though a collective sigh of relief may be in order for the end of another revolution around the sun, we can rejoice in the fact that a new compilation of music from the anomalous depths of my own mind will most certainly coalesce in 2017. Fear not, friends, for even now a SOTM follow-up to my b-side "I Will Die in the Water" is here for general consumption, as an epitaph for our strange year, which I have titled "Eating the Old Me."
