Axtone Presents: Roisto's Loose Tapes

When it comes to the sounds of everyday life, artists Kamaliza (Australian-born Kamaliza Salamba) and Third Floor (UK-born/Aussie citizen Aaron Bannie) have the sonic representation of human emotion and personal relationships down to a science. Most recently, they’ve joined forces for a brand new project called Night Tales. Uniquely emotive and resonant on a fundamental level, their music together embodies a calming sense of introversion and serenity within one's own personal space.

Kamaliza’s previous project Olympic Ayres garnered over 10 million plays on Spotify, as well as features on FIFA 14 and Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. His solo work has over 450k plays for each song. Aaron’s Third Floor project received over 1 million plays across all media platforms within the first year-and-a-half of its inception. He’s also charted on ARIA and seen rotation on MTV Australia and Triple J. 

Night Tales' sound is marked by a determined focus on songwriting, chord progressions, and striking lyricism. There is a remarkable mix of their two individual styles, almost as if the best of both world’s met and worked together on something even more extraordinary than the quantifiable sum of their parts. “At the forefront of what we do is human emotion,” they write. "We’re inspired by everyday life, particularly personal relationships. People are at the core of what we do.”

Their debut release "Move You" out on Majestic Casual opens this podcast that was recorded LIVE for us for Let The People Dance on Bondi Radio.  They joined us straight from the studio putting vocals down on a track we can't wait to hear. Their 3rd Single "Want" also out on Majestic Casual drops April 24.
