With an ethos centred around progressive music and its surrounding derivatives, the label is a platform which gives up and coming artists a chance to showcase their music alongside established veterans as they carve out their own musical identity.

The 99th release welcomes Tav Bord from Argentina back to the label with a remix EP. Last year we've released his Buhardilla EP. Now rAin (MU), Darren Bray, and Fatih Ulusoy got invited to do a remix.

Welcome to our new members of the One Of A Kind family German Tedesco and Agustin Lupidi, who together, with their musical experience and time invested in many years of work on improving music production, gather in one edition, which consists of the original and re-interpretation of the original song, and which is called "Naipi"!
German is experienced in the field of music production, but new in the digital electronic world with his releases, which he signed for Bevel Rec and Holy Grail Music, while Agustin Lupidi has been appearing for some time in lists supported by major artists, where his music can be heard on labels such as Balkan Connection, Genesis Music, onedotsixtwo and Massive Harmony Records.

Industry legend DJ Zombi steps up to the plate and flips the big melodic anthem into a groovy, tribal heavy piece of organic progressive house music. Incredibly classy and sexy, this one is sure to turn some heads and gain some proper support. Lovely dancefloor delight!

Much like the colourful cobbled streets and lush rolling hills of his hometown of Tbilisi, Georgian-native Gacha Bakradze’s music is characteristically rich, distinct, and seductive. With his previous releases on the iconic Apollo Records praised by Pitchfork and Resident Advisor, Gacha is a stalwart of the Georgian electronic scene. Previously featured on ‘Anjunadeep Explorations 02’ in 2016, Gacha now returns with his upcoming EP - ‘Restless’.

From his nuanced command of subtle arpeggio plucks, to his careful construction of sensuous atmospheres, ‘Restless’ epitomises Gacha’s in-depth musical knowledge and production skills.

Title track ‘Restless’ is a journey through syncopated sixteenths and reverberated jungle sounds, where bongos echo off a grooving sub bass. ‘Image’ is lustrous and bright, accentuating a well-rounded bassline alongside celestial plucks. The Earth Trax remixes introduce a lo-fi aesthetic, taking it back to the old school with wide sampled breaks and 303 synthlines.

The final track, ‘Contactless’, is a Balearic ballad, its melodious arpeggios and dark drones reminiscent of retro 80’s soundtracks, deep dreams, and early-morning walks home. ‘Restless’ is released on both digital and vinyl, Friday, 29th July.

Pig&Dan possess one of the finest pedigrees in techno and are faithful contributors to Drumcode, dropping their most recent EP – the excellent ‘Infinity’ – in February. ‘Promised’ marks their maiden release on DC’s little brother imprint and has a heart-breaking story behind its creation as Dan explains: "whilst enfolded in sadness we started to write a record dedicated to the loss of my son due to a terrible road accident. The vocal says it all ‘you promised you would live forever’ symbolising that your child will usually outlive you as the parent.”

The track’s lilting organ line makes a haunting accompaniment to the vocal, while tender synths and deep grooves ensure it’s a beautiful, timeless tribute. Egypt’s Raxon, who first debuted on Truesoul in 2017 with the ‘Heliopolis’ EP, delivers a tougher peak-time rework.

Premiere: Shai T & Dj Zombi - High In The Sky [Anjunadeep]

As the month of June comes to a close Deersky’s Soundteller Records welcomes Teelco back to the label for a new EP. Hailing from Tirana, the Albanian artist is now making his third appearance on the Polish imprint following a contribution to the labels ‘Summer Sampler 2016’ collection and his ‘Rosa dell’Alba’ EP in 2018. The last quarter of 2019 yielded a well received EP for Balkan Connection, ultimately leading to his 2020 Soundteller return entitled ‘Shimizu’.

The title track kicks off the proceedings with a light and airy quality. Rolling grooves, luminous lines and bubbly arps quickly surround the percussive framework, before smooth chord changes bring more emotive qualities. Breathy vocal elements phase in and out of coherence while aquatic samples and a piano led break ultimately pave the road home.

‘Strong Spirit’ rounds the release out in fine style with further hypnotic leanings. Built around a chugging foundation, it’s meandering melodies and gaseous effects eventually grab a hold of you. The main break furthers intrigue through ghostly overlays and muted cascades, combining for profound moments and providing a smooth transition into a driving final act. It caps off two inspired cuts from Teelco, who returns to Soundteller with some of his finest work to date. Highly recommended.
