Hello and welcome to episode 41 of The DJ B-12 Deep Acid House Experience. This show is for October of 2022. We have a very special show for you this month. This show is almost entirely oldskool first generation progressive house, along with trance, breaks, acid and techno all from the early to mid 1990's. I really want to thank everyone for the kind words and incredible feedback on the last show, number 40. It's such a beautiful thing hearing about people loving this music and have such fond memories of hearing this stuff back in the day. It’s truly such an honor to play this stuff for you in 2022. For this month’s show, I have dug even deeper than last month, and we go in much further. A lot of these tracks came from my personal record collection and a few are pretty rare. This has been one of my most challenging mixes yet to date, as a lot of these older tracks don’t stay in time very well, so I put a lot of extra work and effort into this episode to bring you the absolute best show possible. Swindon, UK based DJ. 
Been mixing various genres of music since the mid 80’s. Started out on hip hop, soul and breaks. Played at various clubs and raves back in the early 90’s at the start of the rave scene. Got a residency at a major local nightclub @ The Brunel Rooms playing alongside the likes of Brian Gee, Micky Finn plus many others. 
Always had a box of vinyl in the car when driving around looking for illegal parties all over the West of England and enjoyed playing in some very strange venues, often in a marque tent in the middle of nowhere. Was always at some party every weekend for the golden years of the rave scene. It was an amazing time and the experiences from back then still translates musically into what I do now. It was great back then in so many ways, we manged to get things done without cell phones. Miss life without being glued to mobile devices!
Once I got into the early rave scene, it wasn’t long before labels like the infamous Good Looking Records, Reinforced Records, Movin’ Shadow and Metalheadz brought a whole new genre to life.
Over the years I’ve gravitated to the soulful and hip hop orientated drum n bass tracks and love the way that genre incorporates so many different elements into the various productions. 
I help moderate the UK based Different Drumz online radio station and have been playing on there since 2016. I have a fortnightly show on Saturday nights where you can check out fresh cuts of some of the best dnb out there.
I started a sister label to Criterion Records (vinyl only) who’s owned and ran by a close friend, Alex K hailing out of Athens. Kriterion Recordings (Digital Only) was launched back in 2018 and has just released its 21st release. This is very much a labour of love in support of the artists and for all the joy they have brought me over the years. I work hard to ensure the tracks I put on the label is something both the artist and I believe is the best of what they have at the time and suits the labels ethos of releasing quality music.

We have DJ B-12 back with his first show of the year for with a very special tribute mix to his best friend and almost 16-year-old cat, Biggie, who passed away on February 2, 2023. This is a very deep and emotional set that is truly reminiscent of a classic B-12 set. Biggie had been a huge part of the show and the series. He was always in the studio when B would work on mixes and record. He was the perfect studio companion. He filled the room and B's life with so much love and inspiration. He was like a son to B. He loved everyone and enjoyed hanging out when company would come over. There are a handful of you out there who actually got to meet this legendary cat in person. He will surely be missed every day until they meet again. We celebrate Biggie Talbot 2007-2023 on this episode, and by the sound of the mix, we believe Biggie was in the studio once again to help B one more time. Pure Liquid VI - Impression

For installment 105 I cycled through a variety of sounds. As is usually the case, I started out on a deeper melodic vibe and gradually tried to inch my way up through some soulful liquid sounds. For the second hour I pushed the energy up into some upbeat minimal roller territory before briefly peaking into an almost neuro tech sound. Last 20 - 30 minutes or so cools things back off into smoother expansive  vibey rollers.

It was a fun, bright and positive summer day with the usual suspects pulling up in the chat. Always grateful for the stream support. I'll be taking July 1st off to play with Hugh Hardie and MC Fava in the Georgia woods for Summer Slam. If you're in the area, I'd love to see you IRL!
