FORMICA FUNK VOL.3:IT’S GONNA BE SEXY

'Tis the season for a wonderful drum & bass mix from https://soundcloud.com/deejaysteveray. This jazzy, soulful blend offers a unique foray into a world of beats both organic and urban, a mix at once fresh and nostalgic. In this edition, deejaysteveray curates and deftly mixes an arsenal of tracks that exhibit his range within the genre. 

Moving through liquid funk, jazz-infused, experimental, deep-minimal, jump-up and modern jungle, deejaysteveray pays homage to the many outposts of the drum & bass scene. Each movement of this mix offers a new perspective on drum & bass music while maintaining a common motif of super-dope, organic sounds for the streets. 

Each track on this mix was chosen with care. Like a quilt born out of fragmented fabric woven to a whole, deejaysteveray weaves together a tapestry of sound, a cozy blanket to keep us all warm throughout this winter season.

A Tribute to The Legend of Zelda / Liquid DnB/150/Classical/LoFi Mix

Here is a new mixtape inspired by the Kubiks and Lomax’s 2007 track Things To Come and the idea of recording a Liquid DnB set, that was on my to-do-list since 2012.

For this mixtape I was in the idea that I was not listening enough drum & bass to play or record something solid, so I did my homework and ask for a little help with my expert friends @donflavor and @chuckpee.

Finally this is my track selection with the vibe and transitions that I was looking for... enjoy! :D

Entry #4 - 16.05.2025
Dear Mix Diary,
Life just got very busy recently. I’m working on a new project that has really inspired me; I feel like everyday I push my creative boundaries. It gives me some peace.
We just booked a deposit for an event in August! I can’t believe that 6 months ago we were just a small Soundcloud account hoping to make new friends. Now we are an incredible team, have four collectives involved, an incredible lineup and nearly 700 followers.
I thought this summer might be quiet, but it’s become the opposite. I am playing for two of my dark/minimal inspirations in June. Radio shows, guest list to events, etc. We are now running/hosting two events in August, as well as festivals. I am still not quite over that I suddenly have these amazing opportunities. But whilst it looks effortlessly easy, I don’t think people see how hard we are all working behind the scenes.
I’m excited to see Koven (and my friends) tomorrow. And for our Reload event next week. And I am REALLY excited because I’m now going to BALTER!
I feel grateful everyday.

Im Winter 1981 geboren, startete D.A.N. alias Daniel Ende der 90er die Vinyls zu drehen. Mit Musik aufgewachsen und von Freunden inspiriert, ging er seinen Weg...

Mit dem Nacht.kre.aktiv Kollektiv startete er 2009 in seiner Region einige Open Airs und Partys in verschiedenen Locations. Mit Gigs in Dresden und Umland wie in der Chemiefabrik, im Puschkin, im Club der Republik,Sabotage,Räubertage Festival und Stroga Festival stellte er seine Fähigkeiten unter Beweis. DJ kamineo est né en 1978 à Clermont Ferrand, en France.

Passionné de musique électronique et de hip-hop.C'est en 1999 qu'il a pu acheter ses premières platines. Quelques mois plus tard, il a commencé à mixer et à se produire dans des soirées gratuites et bar . En 2000, il découvre la drum and bass qui devient sa musique favorite. En 2002, il rejoint le karlkargckrew et commence à se produire au Bambar. Mais depuis 2008, il consacre tout son temps à la composition.

En 2014, il produit un remix de loadstar dr Krak sous le label RAM.

Fin 2016, il démarre une émission de style DNB grâce à la radio campus 93.3 Clermont Ferrand sur le mouvement Jungle, Liquid funk et neuro.

2017 Déimos sort le remix kat sous le label hidden company  et continue de faire son live DNB Style avec platine sous Tracktor sur l'antenne de radio campus 93.3 Clermont Ferrand.

I am primarily a D&B DJ since the late 90s, but I also play 70's Funk and Disco. I have played at events alongside Goldie, Doc Scott, Adam F, Klute, Nicky Blackmarket, Ed Rush & Optical, Randall, Grooverider, Bryan G, Hype, High Contrast, Brockie and more.
I have presented on Ipswich pirate Flex FM, as well as presenting on Ipswich Community Radio since 2000, and have interviewed Marcus Intalex, Klute, Bad Company, BCee and Mark & Clayton of TOV/Renegade Hardware.
