Here's the edit of Kollektiv Turmstrasse's Jupiter Sunrise that I put together for my Chill Set at Rainbow Serpent 2017.

The original version only lasts for 4 minutes and is very unforgiving when attempting to play within a DJ set. It's such a beautiful piece of music that I feel ends a little bit too abruptly, so I recycled an extra verse and added in a sly little outro to make it a bit more DJ friendly. Hope you dig!

Next up on Roots, we hit you with a seriously BIG slice of Ragga Jungle pie with four artists that have been making some serious waves across the Jungle world! 

First up the Ragga Jungle specialists, FLeCK & Selecta J-Man, pair up for this dancefloor anthem ''Rock Stone''. This tune has all the ingredients and minerals to light up any dance floor, clean breaks, rolling bass and a classic reggae breakdown! It has been doing damage all over the festival & club scene throughout the summer months as well as being championed by some big names across both the Jungle and DnB circuit! 

Next up, from scene veterans, Chopstick Dubplate’s very own Aries & Jacky Murda. These guys have pioneered the Ragga Jungle sound from day one and it’s with great pride we welcome them back to Roots! Clash 77 is a Jungle roller Crafted to to put a smile on any soundboy's face. Ragga hooks & deep wobbly basslines prove this to be another timeless classic from the notorious Jungle duo.

It’s 2018 and judging by the surge of interest worldwide, it could also be the year of Jungle music. Over in Bristol at Born On Road headquarters the final touches have been put to the long awaited biopic LP from Aries entitled Jungle Style. For an artist who’s spent 20+ years on the road, released 100+ tracks, collaborated with every soundman and his dog and pushed the Jungle sound to it’s absolute limits, this album is something of a lifelong ambition - it’s the summing up of his journey.

If somehow you don’t know Aries and the Jungle scene, he honed his self-taught skills whilst living in Birmingham, London and Bristol. His first major release was Herb Smoke in 2006 which is sat comfortably on 3,000,000 Youtube views at time of press - something of an anomaly for Jungle; he’s a key figure in his collective’s - Chopstick Dubplate, Born On Road and Roots Recordings; he holds the 2016 We Love Jungle Award for Best DJ; he’s seen releases on prestigious Jungle labels Congo Natty, Dread and V Recordings; he DJs around the world so much that he has a tune called Worldwide Traveller with Top Cat and Mr Williamz celebrating their humble attitude for the continued use of ropey budget airline RyanAir. His career has been one of continued hard work and dedication to the sound which has paid off in respect from his peers and he now also commands a legion of dedicated followers that show support at his shows and through collecting the music he makes.

His LP Jungle Style travels across the spectrum of the Aries sound and - true to form - features many of his nearest and dearest friends. From one angle it's a who’s who of the A-list Jungle scene that all wanted to come and pay homage to the Aries legacy by being part of the project, and from the other side it was most definitely directed by Aries himself for it’s signature sound. The album was written, recorded and produced across 8 studios in Birmingham, Slovenia, Paris, London and Jamaica then finished off in Bristol, and that isn’t including where some tracks were part-produced with friends from other far corners of the world. It’s difficult to pick out the highlights as the diversity really does shine through which means there is something for everyone so long as you like it rough, tough and dangerous!

DJ Hybrid started out DJ-ing in 2004 in the city of Coventry and quickly became well known for his diverse styles and his monthly podcasts, it wasn't until 2008 that he started to learn how to produce music and in 2010 he started up his first label called ‘Audio Addict Records’ where his debut release ‘Step Up’ was released on a exclusive vinyl run and was sold worldwide. In 2012, after locking himself away in the studio for years he was signed to DJ Vapour’s mighty ’36 Hertz Recordings’ with his debut release ‘I Get Mash Up’. Then in 2013 DJ Hybrid moved down to the south coast where he started up new label ‘Deep in the Jungle Records’ and became a regular within the Brighton Jungle Drum & Bass Scene. Later that year he achieved his first number 1 chart position with his track ‘Badboy’ which gained massive support throughout the scene and was championed by many DJ's as a modern Jungle classic. In 2015 he won two awards at the We Love Jungle Awards in London, one for ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ and the other for ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’. After the success of the awards he decided the time was right to start working on his debut album and in November of 2015 his debut album ‘Mixed Origins’ was released and received support from across the entire Dance music scene and also made it to number 1 in the Juno albums chart. In 2017 his label 'Deep in the Jungle Records' won the award for 'Best Jungle Label' at the We Love Jungle Awards which was a huge milestone in his career not just for himself as a producer but as a label owner too. Since then Deep in the Jungle Records has been recognized as one of the most prolific and forward thinking labels in the modern Jungle scene. Over the last few years DJ Hybrid has become one of the leaders of the modern Jungle movement and is a firm favourite with Drum & Bass fans and Junglists alike, his unique style has made him stand out amongst the crowd and gain a loyal following worldwide. His many contributions to the Jungle Drum & Bass scene includes anthems such as 'Puffin Erbz' and 'Badboy' he has also remixed such Jungle classics as Good Body Girl, Luv Ta Luv Ya, Gallist by Top Cat and The Hitman by Marvellous Cain.
