‘Intertwined’, the first collaborative EP by Paraíso founders @mariaamoramormaria & @shcuro, is up next on the decade-old Lisbon label. This pair of syncopated, energized, immersive techno tracks comes with remixes by Tresor residents Fireground and DC’s own Black Rave Culture, a trio composed of James Bangura, Amal, and Nativesun.

‘Waves of Hope’ opens the record in full force with a relentless beat that combines early 90s euphoric energy and jacked-up snares over a fat bassline, soulful pad progressions, technoid bleeps, dubby washes, and Maria Amor’s own soothing cut-up vocals, elegantly touching several foundational club music sounds through an inspired lens.

On the A2, ‘Hotspring Love’ brings levitating, airy textures and mixes them with subtle acid arpeggios, pure-hearted vocal melodies, and bouncy percussive accents. The rolling subwoofers of a proper techno party can practically be seen, the fast-paced kick perfectly perforating the bassline.

Two remixes can be found on the B-side: first up is Berlin-based @fireground_r12, who flip the original ‘Waves of Hope’ into a more concise take, exploring its dub influences and adding in cinematic, ravey chord progressions to a hypnotizing, ecstatic effect. The italian duo add a distinct dose of Neapolitan techno, carrying the textured intensity of that unmistakable sound.
@black-rave-culture pick up ‘Hotspring Love’ and turn it into an ode to junglism, reappropriating the original pads in a classic DnB workframe with crisp breakbeats and an absolutely nasty bassline that no words can do justice to.

Ever since clubbing became a possibility, Pressura found himself drawn to Reaktor events, especially their legendary Katharsis nights. His focus was always on the second, smaller room, where experimental artists delivered weird and crazy DJ sets that defied convention. Looking back, those nights bring pure nostalgia. The open-ended nature of those sets was unlike the structured performances often found at festivals, and that raw energy left a lasting impression.

These experiences deeply influenced his musical taste, shaping his broad alternative interest in industrial techno, electro, and off-beat rhythms. That love for unconventional sounds continues to inform both his productions and his DJ sets today.

For the Set the Mood series, Pressura has created something in that same spirit—pushing boundaries and embracing the experimental energy that first captivated him.

Hailing from The Hague, Netherlands, Pressura has carved out a distinctive space in the electronic music scene with his groovy, hypnotic, and genre-blending sound. His music fuses elements of house, techno, and electro, driven by pulsating rhythms, intricate melodies, and a rich, atmospheric depth that captivates listeners. Infectious basslines and carefully layered textures define his productions, giving them an unmistakable flow.

TVNG, artiste originaire du nord de la France, refuse de se conformer aux normes, exprimant ses émotions, sa sensibilité et sa folie à travers une techno qui lui est propre. Il veut vous embarquer dans son monde singulier, où la folie et l'incompréhension embellissent chaque jour gris.
Dans ce podcast, il à souhaité proposer quelque chose de différent, tout en restant fidèle à son identité. Il a ajouté une rythmique et une dynamique plus marquées pour créer un mélange harmonieux et offrir une expérience plus clubbing. 

CLA1R33 est une graphiste réunionnaise, dont le travail explore l’interaction entre textures, contrastes et émotions. Chaque création devient une exploration, une manière de dévoiler ce qui se cache sous la surface, là où l’esthétique et l’instinct se rencontrent.

Son processus créatif est guidé par une écoute attentive des sets musicaux, qui lui permet de de tisser une narration orientant ses choix graphiques. Pour elle, l’abstraction est un moyen puissant de capturer les sensations que la musique génère.

Instincts bruts est la retranscription directe de ce que l’écoute de ces sets éveille en elle, une interprétation visuelle du ressenti.
