CEO/BM12 PRODUCTIONS FOUNDER/ACTIVIST/ARTIST/PRODUCER

 Straight Out the Brookland Section DJ_Ek DA Gorrilla created BM12 Music in the tradition and values of the former street crew he's affiliated with. The Triangle of streets in Northeast Washington DC which shares the border street of Rhode Island Avenue in Ward 5. These 3 groups united and joined forces for safety, protection, social status and unity and at the core was always music which during tougher times brought comfort and escape from the harsh realities of the drug wars of the late 80's and 90's. There were many who felt there was no way out but the exception came in the form the urban street sounds of Go-Go and new on the scene Hip-Hop from New York. The Go-Go scene had multiple groups from all hoods vying for the title of who was the best NE,NW,SE or SW you repped your hood to the fullest and hoped to get a shout out from the one of the legends on the mic. BM12 is not just music, its a movement, a feeling the heartbeat of the city when Street Kings ruled and the city vibe was Be like Joe Cool.
