What a festival! Blossom 2022 was off the hook! I was honoured to play on the new Undergrowth Stage created by James Hastings which was built magnificently.  Provided the exact ambience I was after to share this musical journey on Saturday afternoon to close the stage.  It was great to watch people grooving along, smiling and being present with one another.  Big shout out to the two Sophies from All the Lights WA (link below) for jumping up for a performance too!

Liquid Journey, Through Drums & Bass (April 2023) Vol.2

Constantly on a quest to showcase the musical side of drum & bass, these sets are primarily a way for me to be as self-indulgent as I chose to be with my selections. The fact that people tune in live (or catch this recording on soundcloud the next day) to see me sink or swim every week is an added bonus. This week we got some feelgood soulful stuff in the front half of the first hour, vocal rollers and summer strummers that flow right into some more driving rollers of the uptempo and uplifting dancefloor variety. Things get a bit darker in the 2nd hour with some classic personal picks in the mix before moving into some minimal sci-fi tech vibes towards the end. Considering how little time I had to sort through my new promos and Bandcamp releases this week, I was pretty stoked on how it all flowed (I think?). Big shouts to my loyal crew, kicking it in the chat today. Big ups!

Wide range of sounds on display in this session; from the head-nodding hip hop and soul influenced deeper beats at the start, to angular minimal tech stuff, to tech rollers, vocal sci-fi rollers, some neuro tech classics in the 2nd hour and quite a bit of new stuff that just came out or is forthcoming soon. Bit of a rough start on my end because I felt rushed getting the stream set up and running, but I feel like I was able to recover and still laid down a set I was pretty happy with overall.
