As a resident DJ of Ottawa Prog Vibes based in Ottawa, Canada, Steve plays at several of the city’s best venues and has shared the decks with some of the world’s finest Progressive House DJs and producers.

Steve has been listening to electronic music since the 1990's - sucked in by the hard sounds of early rave, and the euphoric sounds of trance. These sounds still permeate through on the tracks he selects and listens to today.

From uplifting and groovy organic house to the deeper side of Progressive sounds, Steve’s sets flow through lush atmospheres, hypnotic grooves, and driving rhythms. It’s all about emotion, connection, and energy.

I'm just a small-town Canadian boy who loves music.

I started listening to electronic back in 2000 after my brother lent me some CDs for the summer from Sasha & Digweed, Moby, and Orbital. I got into the dance scene shortly after and found a strong connection to trance with DJs like Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, and Ferry Corsten, while making some incredible friendships along the way. 

My first attempts at any kind of mixing were late-night vinyl sessions with my roommate listening to some classic trance and house and eventually putting together a simple set-up on my Mac to make some mixes for my commute. I’ve always liked the idea of being able to create a sort of soundtrack to my day-to-day and admire my friends who’ve made a career out of it as they bring such a positive impact to the lives of so many. 

I’ve spent the better part of my adult life abroad - first in China and now in Italy - and music has always been something that keeps me grounded and focused.

I find myself inspired by the harmonious blend of sounds from the natural world. The gentle rustle of leaves in the wind, the melodious chirping of birds, the rhythmic flow of a nearby stream - all contribute to a symphony of sounds that can spark creativity and evoke deep emotions. 

Flycast mission is to warm as many as possible hearts around the world with his melancholic vibes. This is a flight of fantasy, a desire for a synergy for like-minded people.

Flycast episodes gravitates towards crafting emotional and cinematic journeys aimed at evoking a profound experience and personal reflection.

Music is more than sound – it is the universal language of the soul. Dance is more than movement; it is a ritual, a universal expression of longing, community, and love.

Flycast sets allowed us to enter a flow that deepened with each beat. These moments remind us that music and dance unite us, connecting us to something greater than ourselves.

Music is a return to the essence of life, the pure magic of the moment.

U/ME is a US based Deep, Organic, Melodic, and Progressive House Dj with over 30 years in the music industry. A storyteller behind the decks, U/ME  builds a relationship with his audience by crafting each unique set with love and devotion for this amazing music.
