Spring Break 2015 Mixtape

Growing up, DJ Abi always had a vast appreciation of all types of music. He made music a part of his everyday life and this bond grew stronger through the years. He had always dreamed about becoming a Dj someday, but thought it was beyond his reach. It wasn't until the age of 19 when Abi decided to chase his dreams. Whether he was at a nightclub with his friends or in his car listening to radio DJ's mixing live, he always paid close attention to the music and tried to learn the art of mixing music live. Finally, Abi decided to purchase his own equipment and give it a try on his own. His determination to become a DJ was unmatched by any other goal he had in life. Despite being a full time finance student at Baruch College, Abi spent hours on end practicing in his room until he grew the courage to play for audiences. He began by playing for family and friends gatherings, but through word of mouth, people began to request him at their private events and parties. It wasn't long until DJ Abi was becoming one of the fastest growing open format DJ's in New York City, playing everything from Hip Hop to House to Reggaeton. Over the years, he has moved crowds in bars, lounges, and nightclubs in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and New Jersey. These venues include Harrah's Atlantic City, The Headliner, Finale NYC, Pink Elephant NYC, Victory Nightclub, Cavo Astoria, Above Rooftop, Eve Ultra Lounge and many more. Abi is proud of all he has been able to accomplish, starting from the bottom and working his way up through perseverance and determination. He prides himself in knowing that all his hard work has paid off from thinking his dream was out of reach, to lighting up dance floors everywhere. But he's not done yet. Abi plans to continue to chase his passion as a DJ and reach his highest potential.
