Originally from Madagascar, Jakobin's musical selections and original compositions remain deeply rooted in his cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from the rhythmic percussion and tribal music of his homeland. Despite maintaining a consistent vibe, Jakobin refuses to confine himself to a single style, incorporating a broad range of underground music spanning from 120 to 140 bpm, encompassing genres such as UK Funky, Garage, Amapiano, House, Grime, and more.

His dynamic and energetic performances have secured him opportunities to support renowned figures in the UK Bass music scene, including Footsie, Stragety, Sicaria, JME, RizLaTeef, SirSpyro, Killa P, Skepsis, Royal T, and Sammy Virji, among others. Moreover, Jakobin's guest mixes have been featured on esteemed platforms such as Mixmag, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Bristol, SubtleFM, Steamradio, SWU.FM, AAJAMusic, FourthFloor, DECADANCE, 1020 Radio, the illustrious Rinse FM, as well as internationally on France's Pinata Radio and Australia-based FBI Radio and Nomad Radio.
