Description: My minimal take on the elegant banger by Iakios from Moon Radio. This song is in draft state, there are elements that still need some tweaking and correcting before it would be "done" but I wanted to get it posted to do some test listens.

IntAlexX Beats - Super Mario

A deep thumping bass rhythm underpins this somewhat introspective electronica arrangement featuring a synth arp solo at the end with booming hammering drums. Clearly still needs some EQ sculpting and finalization work.

The first in a series of remakes I'm doing based on the songs I produced back in the 2000 to 2004 period when I was making hard dance beats on a PII Celeron OC with zero clue what I was doing. I liked a lot of the melodies and structures I built, but was never happy with the productions. So, Houston is the first one getting the re-do with a few more on the way (planned: Capture Box and Autodialer, and maybe T-53).

Monophonic groovy lead and bass lines with entirely haunted pad swells. The drums closely follow the groove of the lines and have some experimentation in parallel processing. Probably not EQ'd properly.

No song I've written in 2020 encapsulates the view from the inside more accurately than Desert of the Real. Melancholic, soaring, and sad. Yet I feel like there is something hopeful in it, like a path to a place that isn't so dark. I acknowledge the probability that it's all nonsense - but it's how I feel.

Desert of the Real [pre-release]

DJ'ing and writing music off and on since 2000, I'm now getting serious about my production skills and professional output. I'm writing IDM/abstract, ambient, techno, industrial and some downtempo stuff. 

During the pandemic I started writing more ominous ambient-adjacent work using distortion, saturation and huge powerful leads and pads. I'd like to break into doing music and sound design for video games or indie films at some point. Even if that never happens, I’m thoroughly enjoying making music for me. Cathartic? Absolutely.
